Our guide was the best part of the visit, he was very very knowledgable and had a great sense of humour so hearing all the stories of the castle was really entertaining, he had us laughing about history! The tour is an hour long and he made sure we got an hour even though we finished a little early, we... More

One of Sweden's most beautiful city centers with a fantastic castle in the middle of the city surrounded by moats. In summer there are art exhibitions and numerous beer gardens in the area around the castle.

When visiting Örebro the presence of the castle is impossible to ignore. We arrived late in the afternoon, but were allowed to join the last (English) group. Nice, young & enthusiatic guides who had their small dramatic contributions. The interior is not on the same level as the imposing exterior; not to hide the truth, we were a little disappointed.

Impressive and beautiful. The staff were really nice. They had a out-of-place exhibit of old mobile phone. But it was quite nostalgic. The caste is old, and intact. And it is surrounded by a moat. It's like a medieval dream.

Still used as the residence for the County Governour. In the heart of Örebro City. Very well worth visiting.

The castle presents stunning views with its placement on the river. The arches of the bridge look lovely in photos, especially in the evening with the sunlight coming through. Lovely gardens surrounding the area and thriving downtown with shops and restaurants close by.

Fice hundred years ago the Swedish king Gustav Vasa used this castle among a handful others as he moved around the country with his court. Today it looks a bit different than during his days but it is still an interesting place to visit. For you that reads this review it might also be fun to know that I spent... More

You will learn all you need from reading the placard on the East side of the moat. If you have limited time, walk around the outside and in to courtyard. That's all you need to see. To spend any more time is simply time that could have been better spent biking to the nature preserve or one of the many... More

Just don't spend the time or money on the tour. The facade is neat. Read the history on Wiki and you'll get more out of the walk around. No need to go inside unless you have a great like of average, European structures built and remodeled between the middle ages and the 19th century. You don't? Just don't do it.
