It has a lot of good items for sale, ready to eat and somewhat groceries. Once of the first few food markets in the city. Very close to a subway station, and an 8-minute walk to the waterfront.

The indoor food market was beautiful, amazing and all that. The selection of food, from sweet, savory, fish, meat and so on was just fantastic. I loved the ambiance and the feeling of the place. Great setup, clean, posh. Bring a full wallet and a good apetite!

Take a stroll in Östermals saluhall. There's everything from fish and meat to cakes and nuts for sale. You can even have lunch there and the atmosphere's great!

This is a great little food market. Very quaint and a loverly building. There's plenty of stores inside selling a variety of different food items, from you butcher selling meats, to the store selling cakes and chocolates. Inside is also several places you can get food, which seems very popular with the locals and tourists alike, and some stows having... More

I just love this place. I have been here with my (then) teenage daughters for a great lunch, for a romantic bite with champagne with my husband and also alone, just wondering around. Last time I wanted to crab a light meal to eat in my hotel room and I went to a salad place here. I can assure you... More

An amazing indoor 125 years old food market, the products from the land and sea are first class, and you want to taste everything or buy and take it home with you. You can console your frustration and your apetite which goes wild, by sitting and eating in one of the many restaurants and food stalls. The cooking is superb,... More

We thoroughly enjoyed browsing through the wonderful food-stalls in this very elegant and upmarket food market. The highlight was a glass of Russian River Chardonnay for California and the gravlax. One of the best meals of our trip. Excellent service too.

This is amazing. One expects a simple food hall where locals can buy, well, food. But it turns out to be one amazing place where you can buy fresh food and you can also have a great lunch inside with the most fresh products one can imagine. Lovely presentation of products, you just want to try them all. Nicest servers... More

We love going to food markets in Europe. Have enjoyed the big one in Budapest and others but this one in Stockholm is really fun. The food, fish, meat, vegetables are laid out so artistically you feel forced to look and maybe buy. Chocolates and cheeses are very good. There is a restaurant in the hall; crowded but worth the... The building that hosts Ostermalm Saluhall is very nice. Inside there are several counters (but not so many, because the place is small) with local (??) and not local delicacies. The plates we tried were just above average, the price was a bit high, even for Stockholm. I don't think that a second visit will be in my future plans,... More
