Great view over Stockholm

This is a great spot to get a great panoramic picture over Stockholm, esp. Gamla Stan and Djurgarden. Max. 10 min walk from metro station Slussen.

Eveytime I'm going to Stockholm I try to get up to this street. This is a place with old houses and a terrace with really beautiful view, it's a fantastic panorama! After a walk through Fjällgatan I stopped at Hermans which is a super nice vegetarian restaurant on a terrace/balcony with stunning view over Old Town and Djurgården. I highly... More

We were visited this place in evening hour and guide allowed to stay for 15 minutes. It was nice view of Stockholm from this place. One can see many landmarks and lake Malaren from here. One cannot avoid this place. Must spend at least 30 minutes here. You can take walk for some distance also. It is pleasure for everyone... More

This is not the only part of Soder with a view ( I lived there many years ago , was born in Sweden ), Start at Slussen and walk to Hornsgatan, stay to the right side and take one of the streets to your right, when you hit the last street turn left and start walking. Soder was a suburb... More

My group, 3 couples and 3 singles, were fortunate to have been brought by our guide to Fjällgatan on a very fine summer morning. The view of Stockholm was simply fantastic! It is worth coming back for.

Whenever I visit Stockholm I try to get up to Fjällgatan. Take the metro to Slussen and walk up Katarinavägen (east) and you will soon enjoy the view as it builds up with increasing elevation. At the bend with Renstiernas gata (which turns south), look for Fjällgatan as it continues east. You will walk through a well-preserved old-style part of... More

Fjällgatan offers the best view over Stockholm and whenever I have foreign friends visiting this is the place I always show them! It's especially nice during spring/summer when you can enjoy an icecream in the sun. Watch out for the seagulls though, as they tend to like icecream!

If you visit Stockholm you should take a walk to Fjällgatan. It is a hidden gem and it is like no other place in the city!
