There's no fee to visit the Haymarket (Hötorget), so that alone is a good thing, right? On a sunny day it's nice to walk around and look at what's available - if you wait until the end of day, you can usually get fruits, veg's and flowers for a fraction of the original price. You can also just buy a... More

A wonderful, lively market. It's exactly what a city centre needs, with market stalls selling all kinds of fruit and veg, and the inside market sells meat etc. the cinema, which is also in hötorgot, is modern and huge with movies in English, perfect for when it's snowing and freezing !!

This underground covered market is a must see in Stockholm. It's a great place to have lunch. But rather than try the tasteless and microwaved Turkish food there, opt for some traditional Swedish food. Ost and Husman do lovely elk and reindeer balls served with mash and veg with lingonberrie, also herring and pork dishes. It all includes lingonberry juice.,I... More

There are 2 parts to this. There is an outdoors market with fresh fruit and veg. There you can get fresh Chanterelle Mushrooms, Lingonberries and seasonal vegetables. Lots of deals but quality can be mixed. Then on the corner is the Hötorgshallen Saluhall where there are higher end permanent food stalls. Inside check out Taylor and Jones the butcher for... More

The market is small and does not offer much. But is in a nice area (Drottningattan street, Hotörsgallen shoppin, Pub store), it's worth a look.

Newly refurbished marketplace in the heart of Stockholm. You can find everything (and more)edible here in a vibrant atmosphere. Try the Tunisian take-out, have at a fish restaurant or a glass of wine at after work. Watching the assortment of people here is watching a city in action. And do not miss the Finnish stand with all the treats; from... More

Cheerful and quite loud - here salespeople try to sell you vegetables, flowers, fruit and some other stuff. There are plenty of special prices and bargains to be made. The salespeople are fast to make deals and I have always been satisfied with quality and price. The best deals are made just before closing time 6 o'clock. This is maybe... More

fresh fruit and veg market on the street outside-lingonberries and mushroom varieties -in the building, in the basement, there is a 2 story marketplace-stalls of chocolates, breads, fish-and more, and places to eat. The fish soup at Kagsas Fisk was terrific (thank you Rick Steves travel guide!) Not as fancy as Saluhall but just as good I think.

The square between the Stockholm Concert Hall (where the Nobel Prices are awarded) and the department store PUB houses the open air market, mainly for fruits and vegetables, but also flowers and souvenirs and a few cloth stands. What is remarkable are the comparatively low prices at this outdoor market compared to other food stores, but be careful and inspect... More
