Rosendals' Garden is an oasis in the heart of our Stockholm, an inspiration for enjoyable, sustainable living and a role model for people living in urban settings. For more than thirty years Rosendals' Garden Foundation has cultivated and spread biodynamic farming practices and has been a driver of the farm to fork concept. Our renowned cafe/ restaurant, wood-fired stone oven bakery and boutique are focused on highlighting the beauty and variety of flavours of locally produced organic ingredients including our own vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers and honey. Explore the orchard that boasts over 50 different kinds of apples, the rose garden, pre-school teaching greenhouse and garden, vineyard, green houses, a garden center, vegetable and flower gardens and even the beehives. We even custom grow and supply vegetables to some of Stockholm's best restaurants. Opening times vary through the season - see website for more info. (Jan. closed, Feb. - April closed Mondays, May - Sep. open everyday, Midsummer weekend 19-21st of June closed, Oct - Dec closed Mondays.

Rosendals Garden is a nice place to go to if you want to get away from the inner city of Stockholm. I can't say much about the botanical aspects of the garden apart from that it is beautiful (but not even close to the Botanical Garden in Gothenburg). On a nice spring/summer/fall day it's a great place to have a... More

Locals have a special place in their heart for Rosendals Garden. We were told about the garden by many different Stockholm residents and shown it by one friend. There is a nice cafe on the grounds that offers coffee, teas, cakes and savories. While we enjoyed a stroll through the garden, I'm not sure it's worthy of a TOP attraction.... More

My favorite aspect about this place is that one can rent scissors and cut flowers from the amazing garden. You pay by weight. Not understanding the exchange rate correctly having only Swedish coins and no ATM card the first time I ever visited, I cut all the stems on the short side and the girl who rang me up assumed... This place was the highlight of our trip. We absolutely loved it. It was quiet and serene, so green and charming! It's amazing that the Swedes have this superb garden right in the city centre and that they can go there with kids and alone and have a nice time, drink some coffee/tea, eat some delicious cakes, have a picnic.... The plant exhibits were lovely! Butterflies were the reason we went but there were very few. The colors and exhibits were lovely.

It's a wonderful little walk from the city center out to Rosendals. Go late morning on a sunny day. It will be busy, but it's a great place to bring a Picnic. To get ready, stop in the basement of NK, there's a wonderful market. Saluhallen is probably a better place to build your picnic, in terms of esthetic and... More
