We took a tour of the opera and went to see a show later on! Both were well worth it! The english tour was about at 11am and was lead by a charming guy named Fabian. he was so enthusiastic about everything and was really interesting too! we went though the halls and ended up in the main opera hall... We were very lucky to watch opera, and listen to classic music in the open air.. the opera built a theater in the open air, adjacent to the opera building wall. No tickets were needed, every body was standing in the street, enjoying some of the great activities. It was charming moments that every body was totally taken, and interacting... More

My first real opera experience. I loved every minute. Even the modern opera (Don Juan) that some of the more traditional Swedes turned their noses up at and actually left during intermission I thought was fantastic. I learned opera etiquette there too. At the end I am accustom to standing ovation for almost all the theatre I've been to. But... More

We were walking and touring stockholm and happened to go inside for a peek and ended up staying for couple hours. The upstairs has 2 different restaurant bar, for 2 different vibes. A great place to sit, have a drink admire the view of stockholm on a nice day.

After touring the Opera House and enjoying the beautiful building, stop by the bar and have a drink overlooking the water. Very enjoyable break!

The building is located downtown, in the Kungsträdgården area, easily accesible by foot from just about every area of Stockholm. Lots of interesting acts inside all the time, must check local websites for tickets (online is usually better) but the building itself is beautiful and worth just taking a look, even if it is just of the outside.

My sister and I had a late lunch on the first floor terrace of the Opera House. The building is stunning. The lunch was excellent. The service was great, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful, efficient and friendly - and they spoke English!

Went for the tour in English - guide was very engaging and knowledgeable. Lots of detail - gained a better understanding of the Opera House, how it functions, and its history. The interactive dance part at the end was a great way to finish!

First of all, the Stockholm Card is a good value. One of the included options is a "backstage" tour of the Opera House (usually costs 100 SEK). We love opera and old buildings, so sign us up! The tour had about 30 attendees (too many) and was led by a very enthusiastic young guide, Fabian, who was knowledgeable and a... More

The building and presises are very nice. The stage and room very nice. But one will miss many nice details without the guided visit, which is usually lead by an experienced employee, many times an ex-staff of the opera or ballet. Not to miss.
