No tours or shows on, so didn't manage to see inside.. Good location for a theatre and fine old building.

If you're an opera or music enthusiast, definitely check this out! Check their website to see when guided tours are, they are 120SEK. No one checked my ticket so I felt a bit weird, it would have made me feel better if it had been checked. Our guide had been with the ballet company since the age of 10, dancing... More

The Opera house is a beautiful building, like all Opera houses, but the one-hour tour brings it to life as the guide tells story after story leading you through the gilded rooms and dark corridors.

If u have more days, then Opera is a good place to visit! The building itself is magnificent! we saw modern Don Juan - not my style....I would prefer a classical piece, but still interesting!

The tour was made by our guide Roy, who has been involved at the Opera House for 40 Years. His knowledge and stories were fantastic and his added humour made the time fly by. He even taught us a little ballet. We won't be giving up our day jobs, but it was fun. Even if you think you are not... More

A friend and I saw the main entrance to the Opera House open, so we decided to check out the building. The security guard asked if we were there to dine. We had no idea there was a restaurant, and being that it was lunchtime, we said yes. The guard ushered us up the grand staircase and to a restaurant... More

We took a tour of the opera and went to see a show later on! Both were well worth it! The english tour was about at 11am and was lead by a charming guy named Fabian. he was so enthusiastic about everything and was really interesting too! we went though the halls and ended up in the main opera hall... We were very lucky to watch opera, and listen to classic music in the open air.. the opera built a theater in the open air, adjacent to the opera building wall. No tickets were needed, every body was standing in the street, enjoying some of the great activities. It was charming moments that every body was totally taken, and interacting... More

My first real opera experience. I loved every minute. Even the modern opera (Don Juan) that some of the more traditional Swedes turned their noses up at and actually left during intermission I thought was fantastic. I learned opera etiquette there too. At the end I am accustom to standing ovation for almost all the theatre I've been to. But... More
