Not sure why this area was so hyped up as being hip and cool. Parts were okay but it is also very rough in some areas. I would not go back.

Has some great landmark sites, if you get a hotel here, it is much quieter than Gamla Stan with good local restaurants. Convenient to the subway.

We selected a few destinations in thus precinct which included a coffee shop and a shop that specialised in caramel. It's a little trendy but not worth going out of your way.

This area made you realize that Stockholm is indeed a large, cosmopolitan city. Great shopping, especially the indoor food market and upscale malls.

Södermalm is a really youthful part of Stockholm. Wandering the streets proved to be really enjoyable, given the award-winning coffee shops and alternative boutiques. It seemed less touristy than other parts of Stockholm and is home to a real mixture of different cultures. Awesome!

Enjoyed this part of town. Loved all of the cafes and shopping niches. Away from the central tourist area one gets a feel for the every day Stockholm. Gorgeous views overlooking the city.

Many shops with vintage clothes, cosmetics etc. Nice to stroll around and if its only for a look. Much traffic, when we were there.

Old working class neighborhood turned into a hipster paradise. If you are like niche shopping this is the place to be. Cool second hand stores for vinyl etc.
