After all the good reviews I was a bit disappointed. Its not charming at all. I thought it was a bit dirty, and full of homeless and Gypsy. The only thing I liked was the main street (nice shops and coffees). But a part there, there is nothing special. Really.

Lots of shops, bars and restaurants, the all looked and smelled nice. Some are a bit crowded, but not all of them. The people looked really relaxed and the whole vibe of the area was nice.

Less tourists anymore local bars and restaurants. Still close enough to Gamla Stam though. Can also access the Globen by foot if you want.

A modern but very nice quartier of Stockholm! Very good for a nice walk, useful to understand how modern can mean amazing if modernity is understood in the right way. Advisable even for some better and cheaper than old town restaurants.

Did a free walking tour through this area through Free Tours Stockholm, highly recommend that! My hostel, Skanskulls Hostel was also located in this area. Very cool places to eat and drink. Lots of shopping. Tons of art galleries. Great area for people watching as well. Fun nightlife! Would definitely recommend staying in a hotel/hostel in this area of town... More

First time we went years ago we thought it hip and attractive with interesting shops and restaurants but this is our third visit and it seemed slightly seedier than before.

Loved this neighbourhood, on the saturday, we got involved with playing a basketball game with a local team and locals and it was fantastic! Also loved all the food trucks who were there, they were amazing and so cool!

Very hip and elegant ..Lovely residential part of Stockholm with good Cafés, small shops and beautiful views of the city. A great place to shop inexpensively to eat from around the world but to also take in the vibe of an up and coming part of town. In the old times this was the area where the poor people were... More

Away from the tourist traps but still attractive. Walk uphill and you'll be rewarded with sweeping views of the city. Check out the Badhusgatan area for quaint old streets and a nice view. Cheaper bars and restaurants here because this is where the local people eat out.
