I took the Somma tour to see the canals and various islands of Stockholm. I thought the tour was good and enjoyed what I saw but the seating on the boat was not good if you wanted to take pictures. The boat filled up quick and it was a covered boat so if you didn't get the two seats on... More

Boat tour of the more than dozen bridges and canals with locks separating lake and Baltic Sea. Many interesting museums and sections of the city you can only see well from the water.

The canal tour is a quick zip around a few of the canals that lasts short of an hour. Most of what you see that is interesting you probably have already seen by just walking around old town and visiting other tourist sites, or will see if you are taking a trip to the archipelago.

I am a sucker for a boat trip but I found this one a little dull the sights are interesting but the commentary was minimal and it did not do justice to the very interesting sights. Since doing the trip I have read up on some of the history and it would probably be more interesting.

If you are familiar with on and off transit buses, Stockholm provides on and off boats that take you the many islands that compose this lovely city. It is different than most cities of its size and the composition of many island provides a great introduction to the many neighborhoods.

You see so much more on a canal tour. Ours had narration in English. It was awesome to see all of the different boats and houseboats. Too much to see in one day.

Stockholm City is surrounded and criss-crossed by so many canals forming beautiful islands which can be traversed best by riding a boat through those magnificent canals. One loses count of time taking those beautiful rides, for there is so much to see from the canals than by driving on the City's roads. Well, it is truly a unique experience. Another... More

What I love in the canal tours depends on the size of the boat. If the boat is not relatively small and open air, then I think you miss a bit of the real character of the city. However, despite the fact that these boats are relatively big and not open air this ride is a must when you are... More

We took a tour at the end of the day when we were all tired. It was a great way to see the city and relaxing. There is a recorded commentary in about 10 different languages. Really interesting, my children enjoyed it too. Certainly worth the time and effort.
