Out of the way but great sculptures

This was a stop on a private tour we had. The sculptures are great and the grounds and gardens nice as well.

The museum is a little out of the way from the city centre but well worth a visit. The sculpture garden is beautiful and a must see for any art lover.

If you appreciate the opportunity of seeing world class sculpture in a beautiful setting then you will take the 45 minute trip from downtown by tube and bus to get to Millesgarden. There are more examples of Carl Milles work here than anywhere in the world, laid out in courtyards on a hillside terrace garden overlooking the harbour. Take the... More

It's a great place for a Sunday stroll. The sculptures are a great piece of art and add to the beauty of the place. It's a bit far from the city centre,so I recommend reserving at least a few hours.

Millesgarden contains different sculptures made by Carl Milles. They are located outdoors in a large garden with a view. There are indoor exhibitions of different kind. Good food in the lunchrestaurant.

Very beautiful location and garden. I can’t believe someone said it was ‘scary’? No. It was very nice, but a bit far. Take time to ensure you can get their by bus and have lunch. Taxi was so expensive, but I am still glad I went!!

Carl Milles was an outstanding sculptor. At first we met his work in Gothenburg, the Poseidon fountain. Here you have got an overview of his activity, which is great.

While in Stockholm, we went to this sculpture park that showcased some of the modern and contemporary pieces by Carl Milles. We enjoyed the studio where Mr. Milles worked and perusing the art gallery. An OK place if you run out of things to see in Stockholm.

A house museum/studio of 20th century sculptor Carl Milles, there are indoor galleries and outdoor sculpture gardens and pools, created to display best his often fountain-related figures, inspired often by classical mythology. If you think you have not heard of him, you may be forgetting. NYC Metropolitan Museum of Art formerly displayed a group of his sculptures in the old cafeteria... More
