Excellent garden

A lot to be seen in this garden. It can take up to three hours to be spent, but it's worth it. Everything is really nice, garden-lovers, people with kids, I highly recommend it.

Rent a bike and cycle around the island. Make sure you go to the far end to get away from the crowds.

Great to get away from the main tourist attractions and stroll along the lakeside. Used by locals for boating, cycling and jogging. There are museums and other attractions but it's the space that is the main draw. Worth moving out of the centre of town and away from the paddle chasing tourist buses.

The green island of Djurgården, close to Stockholm, is beloved by both locals and tourists. Djurgården is a calm islandwhich has been royal land since the fifteenth century. There are fine areas to stroll, for example around the Djurgårdsbrunn canal and also home to several of city’s top museums and attractions, as well as enjoyable cafés and restaurants. It’s easy... - Best green walking area in Stockholm. - Lots of museums to see here like Skansen (the best), Vasa museum etc. Grona Lund amusement park & aquarium is also there. Will definitely take more than a day to cover it all. I visited only Skansen Open air museum. This was the 2nd time I visited it. Grona Lund amusement park... More

The Djurgarden area is full of museums and Nice green parks to walk around in. Ideal for a Family out day. We spent a couple of days to have time to see all the sights. Tip: If you go by car, be there early. It is a parking nightmare out there. You could otherwise take the Ferry sightseeing from the... More

You have to visit Djurgarden if you are in Stockholm. We went on two separate days because there is so much to see. We took the ferry one day to see the awesome Vasa museum and the not so awesome Spirit museum (that did have a cool beer garden) and the next day we took the metro to go to... More

We found ourselves taking the ferry here several times. There's the great outdoor museum, Grona LUnd amusement park, open spaces (great for bikes), smaller museums, and an easy to use bus that helps you get around if you're on foot. You can also take the bus off the island, if you are heading into the main center of the modern... More

Djugarden is a very quiet island and is like the green island of the town. In the island there is a few museum like the Vasa and the Nordiska and also the Grona lund park. The "secret" of the island is the rosengarden, which has amazing flowers and a nice place to have an aplee juice

Nice area in Stockholm, allow a few hours, a few good museums and a lovely scenery by the river. There are a few places to eat too so you would not go hungry.
