Don't miss Stockholm national park space - almost like Central Park in New York with a mix of green park, amusements and park ways to walk or cycle around - you even may encounter horses

Any visit to Stockholm is not complete until you have taken a walk/cycle/run around Djurgarden. This is a island in the city centre of Stockholm with loads of nature and car-free streets/paths next to the water. This is a have-to!

A bit of a surprise for us as we were on our way to Vasa and instead took a relaxing walk around this old royal stomping ground.

I loved walking through djurgarden. I avoided the silly theme park and rather found the rest of djurgarden quiet and peaceful. I love the beautiful houses I got to walk past. People must have mega $ to live there. I found Rosenberg gardens in the centre of djurgarden to be a delightful find. Stopped there and had lunch. Really nice.... More

When walking on Djurgarden you get a grasp what Stockholm and Sweden is about. Fantastic nature, small as well as immense wodden houses and tranquility. All this in the centre of town! During summer, jump in the water for a swim. The water is usually cold but super clean!

Doesn`t matter if you are a Stockholmare or a tourist, it`s the best place to spend a whole day taking a long walk just next to the water, enjoying the colors of the nature. The island is full of hidden cafes. Flickorna HelinVoltaire, Rosendals Trädgård, Blockhusporten, Cafe Ekorren, Lisapåudden, Prins Eugens Waldermarsudde, Villa Godthem, Sjöcafeet are the ones that comes... More

Djurgarden is the most important park around stockholm and there are some very nice bars and restaurants in the summer.

Lots of museums and a park to see here, it was a shame the ferries aren't included in the Stockholm card.

We loved Djurgarden, there was loads to see and the tram takes you straight there, lots of attractions and museums. It would be lovely in the summertime.
