We found the Old town on our last day which was a pity, I would loved to have spent an evening wandering through the cobbled narrow streets sampling some of the lovely restaurants. More

We staying in the Old Town in Stockholm which was a great base for our exploration. Its a small island so its always easy to find your way back to your hotel, but big enough that you could wander it for a good day and still find little secrets. Definitely walk through here at least once, but its a great... More

Something for everyone. Do your tourist shopping in the numerous shops. Visit the Royal Palace or the Cathedral. I saw the changing of the guard and the excellent performance of the Military band - very polished and entertaining. Old Town is loaded with really great cafes. More

We've travelled to Stockholm only for 3 days in February. It was very frosty (-23C!) and white, exactly how should a Scandinavian winter look like! All buildings well maintained, colours of facades are interesting but not too vivid. Great choice of local produce shops, souvernirs, little cafeterias and restaurants. A very pleasant walk along the canals. A fantastic place to... More

Visit art Galleries, home stores and cafes for a true taste of Sweden. Christmas decorations and traditional gifts make the experience old fashioned and charming. More

Cool little side streets with lots of locals to provide anecdotal history... always colorful even if stories cannot be verified. Be sure to look out for the "Cannons from the world war" More

It's such a pleasant place to window shop, and the cafes allow you to sit and enjoy coffee and cake for hours without being in a rush. If you need any last minute souvenirs, this street has a variety of choices. There are even 7 Eleven stores along the way if you need to pick up a few snacks. More
