Recently relocated to the centre of Stockholm, we started our day at their offices and were taken by minibus in a small group to a frozen lake about 10 minutes outside the centre of the city. (I was worried when we arrived because the water around the city centre was not frozen). The lake he took us to was beautiful.... More

Joakim is an excellent and phenomenally well organised guide. A truly unforgettable day on the ice, with a delicious lunch around a bonfire. Definitely recommend IceGuide - a must for you visit to Sweden!

Casually I enjoyed pretty much a private tour, Joakim (my guide) was a really nice guy, really well prepared and cheking on the safety of the ice. You get all equipment and structions for your safety to avoid accidents and/or react if the time comes. Breathtaking views, peacefull environmets, you can have a lunch in the woods by a small... Ice Guide was flawlessly organised and was the highlight of our holiday in Stockholm. Incredible landscape, brilliant guide and great fun. The preparation of the day was wonderful, all equipment provided and very good quality - from a thermos flask to ice claws. The sun shined for the whole day as we skated around the most wonderful frozen lake in... More

I was so excited when I first read about what IceGuide offered: A day out skating on the natural waters around Stockholm! My husband is a very high energy person and loves outdoor activities so I thought that getting out of the city on a skating tour would be the perfect way for us to enjoy nature and burn off... More

We were looking for something exciting to do on our trip to Stockholm and were lucky to find Ice Guide! We met Joakim at an easy-to-find coffee shop in Central Station, and he took care of everything from equipment and travel to lunch and hot cocoa. He helped us two Floridians feel comfortable with a day on the ice. We... More

Our guide, Joakim, was really friendly. A couple of us in the group were a bit nervous about falling through but he explained all of the equipment he had and a bit more about skating on natural ice in the car and really put our minds at ease. We got to skate on two frozen lakes, both absolutely beautiful. A... More

In winter, when the surrounding lakes and sea freeze, Stockholm reveals a unique attraction: Long distance ice skating tours (Långfärdsskridskoturer) allows you to experience Stockholm from a very different side! Joakim is super friendly guy that provides you with an all-inclusive package: Skating and safety material (even a set of extra clothes in case you take an unexpected dip :-)... More
