Skogskyrkogården is beautiful all year round, much due to the unique way it is woven into the landscape. The cemetery never closes, so you can easily acces the World Heritage when you prefer, throughout the year. More than 2,000 funeral ceremonies take place at the Skogskyrkogården each year. This means that the five chapels are in frequent use and therefore closed to the public. If you are interested in the chapels and their interiors, come along for a public guided tour or book a private tour. We also have audio and visitor's guides, which you can download prior to your visit. Please visit our website for more information.

Like other European chapels, it is pretty. Did not see too many people there but that did not take away from its nice presentation.

Situated in the southern parts of Stockholm, this cemetery is on the UNESCO world heritage list. Created by famous architect Gunnar Asplund, Skogskyrkogården, is more like a park or a pine forest than a cemetery. The chapels are well worth visiting too.Guided visits from May to September. Do not forget to visit the filmstar Greta Garbo's grave!

A UNESCO world heritage site, this was nice to walk around - just be careful you don't run into any funerals.

You dont need to have a grave to visit here, it is a great place to visit just for the beuty of the buildings and the nature between the fields of graves. Easy accessible by subway

A cemetery that doesn't look or seem as a cemetery. It is a wonderful garden with big trees and hough lawns. Very peaceful, beautiful surroundings The grave of Greta Garbo is in a very, very special place.

This UNESCO site is well worth a visit. It is not only peaceful, but a beautiful forest as well. Yes, it is a cemetery as well, but a gorgeous area for a nice walk through nature. The only complaint I have is that things are not as well marked as one may hope, and it took some effort to find... More

One of Stockholms best kept secrets, if you can call a world heritage site a secret. Skogskyrkogården is drawn by Swedish master architect Asplund who is also behind the royal library. The place truly awakes stuff inside. It's epic, emotional, beautiful, historical and peaceful, yet disturbing. I love it.
