Interesting museum, but small and mostly Swedish language

I was recommended visiting this place as my 4 year old loves the police, and it was really great. There are several exhibitions but one is specifically targeted towards kids. The other exhibitions didn't interest him that much but the kid's one was fab. He loved the exhibition; playing with the police Lego, listening to the sound clips, trying on... More

Of course, being in Sweden one may expect most of the written information to be in Swedish but as an English tourist, I am spoilt by most other attractions being in English as well as Swedish. I was disappointed that I do not know more Swedish to understand more of this museum (only a small amount was English). It was... More

It is not very big but it will keep your kids interested for a while. There is something aboutbthenSecurity poloce SÄPO and detective work which can be interesting for the... More

The police museum is a recent addition to the city's museums having been opened ca five years ago. It's on the small side but rather interesting. On the ground floor there are all sorts of uniforms used over the years and temporary exhibitions. On the top floor you have the detective stuff - you can study famous cases and a... More

I visited the Polismuseet with my four year old son who is bi-lingual (English/Swedish). The newly opened / refurbished children's section kept him occupied for the best part of an hour. There was an opportunity to try on a uniform, sit on a real police motorbike and sit in a real police car where you could operate the flashing blue... More
