She is siting on here stone, not bigger than yourseld, she is not great art, but she is overlooking the harbour, nobody gets in ore out without her seeing it. Do not really know why she is so famous. Have a look yourself.

For some reason the trademark of Copenhagen. Nothing speciel but it is a very nice walk along the seaside getting there.

It's a lovely walk along Langeline. Nice and quite with things to see. Like the little mermaid. She's nothing like the statue of liberty in size. So don't expect to see this great big mermaid. She's just a little statue humansize - but lovely. Very Danish and in a lovely area of Copenhagen on a sunny day.

for a weekend tour to CPH this walk is a must do. combined with the tourboat or waterbuses that sails during the summer you will get the best of the historical sights in Copenhagen

This is a very worthwhile area to walk along. You pass the Little Mermaid. Maersk headquarters (largest company in Denmark and largest shipping company in world). They built the new opera house across the water, and it's directly in front of the Queen's palace. This is a very beautiful part of Copenhagen. Stop at the Admiral Hotel for a drink...
