A lovely forest with big paths around the trees and hills. If you're lucky, you can catch a glimpse of some deers. Take a trip to the Eremitage castle. From up there, you can have a great view over Øresund, the ocean.

This is a wonderful and huge park to take a walk, ride a bicycle or a horse or just sit and relax doing a picnic or having a drink or a meal in one of the many restaurants around. It is not a city park. It is a warren on the outskirts of Copenhagen. The place is huge and you... More

Although I'm pretty against zoos, this one I feel is worth visiting as one has the impression that the animals aren't too unhappy there and the site is nice to walk around on. Interesting signs about the animals to read.

A very small scale Tivoli, but nice to get out of the city. Located in the middle of the forest, you can pass through and stop for a little entertainment. There are plenty of restaurants and food kiosks to choose from. Plus side, you don't have to pay to get in, and it's located close to Klampenborg st.

Great escape from the city, deer in the park, beautiful Eremitage castle in the middle (but you can only admire it from the outside)

If you want to spend some time outside of Copenhagen - this is the place! Take the train to Klampenborg, and there you are, close to plenty of deers that roam freely throughout the parc. The highlights are the royal families former hunting castle, the golf course, where the royal family is said to show up, too, and Bakken, the... More

I visit this place religiously once a year. Good place for long walks, jogging, with kids and pets. Deer of various kinds can be seen in herds and groups. They are used to humans so they don't harm unless of course you really bother them. But you may need to be a bit more cautious in Autumn, when its their... More
