Description: For once, it's the tourists who get it right – locals almost never...
For once, it's the tourists who get it right – locals almost never experience Copenhagen in this way, and they're missing out on a treat, experiencing the old city centre from a different perspective and seeing almost all the downtown attractions from the water. Canal Tours Copenhagen offer four different tours of the city, ranging from 60-75 minutes in duration, both with or without a guide. They leave from Gammel Strand and Nyhavn, with longer ones taking you as far as the Little Mermaid and out into the Oeresund Channel to the tiny fortress island of Trekroner. On Sunday and Thursday evenings during summer months there's even a 90-minute jazz cruise, with live music aboard the boat.Armed with a strong fleet of 16 comfortable boats, six of which are heated and covered, the Canal Tours takes you through a guided journey along the city s harbor and canal. At least one of the multilingual staff members is always onboard, enlightening guests on the picturesque surroundings. Choose from the various tours available. And for something unusual, go for the Dinner Cruise, where you can enjoy a delectable meal as you cruise along the waters. And if you have charted your own itinerary, then just go ahead and rent one of our boats.

Our tour guide was amazing - she switched between Danish, Spanish and English flawlessly! An absolute joy to listen to. The tour itself was a lot of fun, and gave us a lot of insight into Copenhagen, and Danish culture, great on a sunny day!!

This was included in the Copenhagen Card! The one-hour tour was just right and gave us a good lay of the land our first day in Copenhagen. They leave on the half hour, arrive a bit early so you can get a good seat. Our tour was in German, English, and Danish so you only learn snippets/very basic information. If... More

Several operators run tours from Nyhavns canel docks. The tour lasts about an hour and costs about £7 to £10 sterling. You get to hear about and see many of Copenhagen's attractions including the little mermaid from the ocean/canals. Sailing below some of the bridges and the guides jokes and info are worth the price. Combine this with the hop... More

If you want a brief intro and tour of the city, you have to take the grand copenhagen boat tour where all the main attraction will be seen via a tour boat with a multi lingual live commentator. I really had fun on this boat tour! Bring your cameras on this attraction!

This was a relaxing way to gain a different perspective of Copenhagen. The guide was excellent and the one hour tour not only included seeing the big attractions like the Opera House and the Little Mermaid from the water, but also went along smaller canals where one could see restored buildings and some stunning apartments.

The tour travels through the canals and out into the harbor to see all the sights around town. You get great views of the opera house, Nyhavn, the Little Mermaid statue, and much more. Definitely worth the trip!

The canal cruise was very interesting as it takes you along the canal that may be hidden depending on where you are in the city. You get to see that the canal has been in use for hundreds of years but the building along it are also being modernised & are still in use. It was very relaxing & entertaining.... More

We took this tour and the staff was great! They took us to all the highlights of Copenhagen that you can see from the water. We were a bit chilly as it got cold on us while out in the open water areas. But I recommend the tour for sure. Oh don't sit in the back its noisy and the... More
