For once, it's the tourists who get it right – locals almost never experience Copenhagen in this way, and they're missing out on a treat, experiencing the old city centre from a different perspective and seeing almost all the downtown attractions from the water. Canal Tours Copenhagen offer four different tours of the city, ranging from 60-75 minutes in duration, both with or without a guide. They leave from Gammel Strand and Nyhavn, with longer ones taking you as far as the Little Mermaid and out into the Oeresund Channel to the tiny fortress island of Trekroner. On Sunday and Thursday evenings during summer months there's even a 90-minute jazz cruise, with live music aboard the boat.Armed with a strong fleet of 16 comfortable boats, six of which are heated and covered, the Canal Tours takes you through a guided journey along the city s harbor and canal. At least one of the multilingual staff members is always onboard, enlightening guests on the picturesque surroundings. Choose from the various tours available. And for something unusual, go for the Dinner Cruise, where you can enjoy a delectable meal as you cruise along the waters. And if you have charted your own itinerary, then just go ahead and rent one of our boats.

We picked the worst possible day for a canal tour , it was poring with rain so visibility was rubbish. The commentary was a bit difficult to understand as the Danish accent was so strong and the sound quality in the mike wasn't great however had we have done this tour in mild dry weather with an open top and... Leaving from Nyhavn, you are already immersed in the colouful Copenhagen scene, which is so vibrant. The cruise had a girl on a microphone who was really informative, particularly if you're looking for the history of Copenhagen and it's harbour. You see so many of the landmarks from the cruise, so it's quite worthwhile, even though we revisited most of... More

On a cold day in January this was still a great trip , the cabin being heated too.The commentary was helpful and gave us some good clues for future exploring.

On our round trip through Northern Europe (9 countries in all), we did a number of boat tours and this one was our favorite. Don't miss it! It's a good overview and introduction to Copenhagen if you can fit it into your schedule when you first arrive. With the Copenhagen card, the Grand tour is completely free as long as... More

You get to see quite a bit, and it's a good use of 1 hour 20 mins. Friendly staff, both at the ticket office and on the boat. Not bad for £8 (young kids free), but you can upgrade to hop on and off if you want to.

We took the hour and a half boat ride through the whole waterside of the city. This was recommended to us. The The tour guides know their languages well. Boats depart almost every hour and there is always one that has English written into the script. The price is fair, but you can opt out of the dual tickets (boat... More

The grand tour took us past many of Copenhagen's most important landmarks and the guidance was very good. As this was in December and really cold outside, the only think I could have wished for were cleaner windows of the boat for an even better view.

The Stromma Canal tour is a must do attraction of Copenhagen. You get an overall idea of the city and the various site seeing places you can visit on foot nearby to the canal after going on a boat ride with them. We were staying at one of the hotels nearby and were lucky enough to find free pamphlets being... More

The boat was on time, comfortable and the tour guide was excellent. Is was too cold to have the top off, but it was very relaxing and enjoyable. I would recommend to all who visit this great city.
