Description: For once, it's the tourists who get it right – locals almost never...
For once, it's the tourists who get it right – locals almost never experience Copenhagen in this way, and they're missing out on a treat, experiencing the old city centre from a different perspective and seeing almost all the downtown attractions from the water. Canal Tours Copenhagen offer four different tours of the city, ranging from 60-75 minutes in duration, both with or without a guide. They leave from Gammel Strand and Nyhavn, with longer ones taking you as far as the Little Mermaid and out into the Oeresund Channel to the tiny fortress island of Trekroner. On Sunday and Thursday evenings during summer months there's even a 90-minute jazz cruise, with live music aboard the boat.Armed with a strong fleet of 16 comfortable boats, six of which are heated and covered, the Canal Tours takes you through a guided journey along the city s harbor and canal. At least one of the multilingual staff members is always onboard, enlightening guests on the picturesque surroundings. Choose from the various tours available. And for something unusual, go for the Dinner Cruise, where you can enjoy a delectable meal as you cruise along the waters. And if you have charted your own itinerary, then just go ahead and rent one of our boats.

We do take the turist canal tours eventhough we live in Copenhagen. Allways a pleasure to take e tour, lots of new information and always nice guides aboard. If you need to see it all, then the grand tour if for you, if you need to see a small selection of Copenhagen, take the 14 bridge tour and if you... More

This is a great way to see lots of Copenhagen in one hour. Our guide spoke many languages and her English was perfect. We managed to get a seat outside and it was nice to have the gentle breeze. Although we did stop at the little mermaid I did not manage to see her very well from the boat. I... More

Was a bit breezy when we toured, but was an OK way to see some of the sights and buildings, and photo opportunities. Also did this on the last day, probably better to do it on the first day.

For short trips, I've typically turned to the ubiquitous Hop On / Hop Off buses which seem to be in every city nowadays. However, this is the first time that I've ever taken one on a boat. 1. The Lines So if you're at Nyhavn, the big line that you're seeing is to get tickets. It's actually not that bad... More

I took a tour, got on a boat. Seats a bit rough by the way, not so much space. But like any other sight seeing tours, that's the volume of tourists that imports. The guide was pleasant, fun and informative. That's what you want .

This tour was the perfect way to see the city, even on a chilly day. The tour guide was informative and had a great sense of humor. We snaked through canals, waving at people on houseboats and learning some history. There are some low bridges, so when you guide tells you to "duck"-- listen up! All in good fun!

At 90 DKK a person it felt mildly overpriced compared to some other slightly cheaper rides. Gives a reasonably broad view of the City and we did see some nice streets and landmarks most like would not have seen otherwise, although we had seen a lot of it from just walking about. It's nice if you like being on the... More

We went on a hour tour of the canals which is a fab way of seeing Copenhagen. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and we were lucky with the weather which makes a big difference with no covering on the boat. We would recommend going on a boat trip.

Although it was a Saturday and very busy it didn't take long before we were off on our tour. Going through the canals and seeing the opera house and the little mermaid was an experience, although I think a lot of people are surprised at how small it is.
