Owner description: For once, it's the tourists who get it right – locals almost never experience Copenhagen in this way, and they're missing out on a treat, experiencing the old city centre from a different perspective and seeing almost all the downtown attractions from the water. Canal Tours Copenhagen offer four different tours of the city, ranging from 60-75 minutes in duration, both with or without a guide. They leave from Gammel Strand and Nyhavn, with longer ones taking you as far as the Little Mermaid and out into the Oeresund Channel to the tiny fortress island of Trekroner. On Sunday and Thursday evenings during summer months there's even a 90-minute jazz cruise, with live music aboard the boat.Armed with a strong fleet of 16 comfortable boats, six of which are heated and covered, the Canal Tours takes you through a guided journey along the city s harbor and canal. At least one of the multilingual staff members is always onboard, enlightening guests on the picturesque surroundings. Choose from the various tours available. And for something unusual, go for the Dinner Cruise, where you can enjoy a delectable meal as you cruise along the waters. And if you have charted your own itinerary, then just go ahead and rent one of our boats.

My wife and I took this excellent canal tour when we visited Copenhagen. We thoroughly enjoyed it. I had no idea that Copenhagen had so many canals. It reminded me of Amsterdam. Very reasonable cost. I hope you enjoy this as much as we did. Nyhavn itself is such a lovely area. The canal tour brings out its best.

I went on the canal boat tour with my son aged 11. We left from a central location. We took an early evening tour. This was one of the first things we did in Copenhagen and it was a fantastic introduction to the city. We saw many attractions including The Little Mermaid and we learned a lot about Copenhagen's past... More

We had a free canal tour as part of our Copenhagen Card. We had to get on at a designated stop, not at the Nyhavn pier. The tour was very comprehensive, taking in all the areas easily accessible by boat, including Nyhavn, the various royal palaces, the little mermaid, the new library building and lots more. Copenhagen is not a... More

Boating in Copenhagen and start in Nyhavn is an exciting way to discover the city. It was nice to see several places, but the guide could have had more empathy.

I think I would have given it an excellent if the bus tour was live commentary as what I booked. Not that taped tours are bad, but you just get a better feel for things when you don't have to wear ear plugs and worry about them falling out when you turn your head to look at things. This was... Did the 1 hour canal tour from Nyhavn which was absolutely fabulous. Seeing the city and the attractions from the water is a must if you are visiting Copenhagen. Would recommend the boats with a canopy and remember to watch your head when going under the bridges! Reasonably priced and a commentary is provided on board - but it was... More

What a fab 90 mins in these amazing canals. £7 you really get to see some gorgeous buildings from the water side! Keep your wits about you if you are up the back as you will need to duck a good few times or risk losing your head at the many low bridges. This is a hop on hop off... More

I used my Copenhagen card so the fact that it is supposed to ve a bit more expensive than Netto didn't effect my wallet. Netto was not in the Copenhagen card, DFDS was. I can't comment on the differences because I only made this particular canal tour. Because it was sunny the roof could be opened. Probably a rainy day... More

Yes the best I've been on and I've been on a few, including Amsterdam earlier this year. Let's face it there are not many things to do in copenhagen that offer great value for money, THIS IS ONE. I could not believe how cheap it was. Loads and loads and loads and loads to see and well explained. Staff were... More

Visited Tivoli gardens with assorted age groups. The city is walkable but was nice to take a ride on the canal boat which allowed us to also see the little mermaid without walking too far. Information in several languages delightful scenery of historic city with interesting architecture boating culture. This is a nice place to be Copenhagen the people are... More
