Canal Tours Copenhagen offer four different tours of the city, ranging from 60-75 minutes in duration, both with or without a guide. They leave from Gammel Strand and Nyhavn, with longer ones taking you as far as the Little Mermaid and out into the Oeresund Channel to the tiny fortress island of Trekroner. On Sunday and Thursday evenings during summer months there's even a 90-minute jazz cruise, with live music aboard the boat.Armed with a strong fleet of 16 comfortable boats, six of which are heated and covered, the Canal Tours takes you through a guided journey along the city s harbor and canal. At least one of the multilingual staff members is always onboard, enlightening guests on the picturesque surroundings. Choose from the various tours available. And for something unusual, go for the Dinner Cruise, where you can enjoy a delectable meal as you cruise along the waters. And if you have charted your own itinerary, then just go ahead and rent one of our boats. « less

How could you go to Copenhagen (or any city with canals) and NOT do this? It's an excellent way to get your bearing about the city and get a taste for what you want to see more in depth. The cost of this tour was included with our Copenhagen Cards. The city is big and this was a good way... More

We had an excellent trip on the canals and even though the commentary was appropriate it wasn't needed as the scenery said it all. It was cold when we travelled so the canal trip offered us the opportunity to see things we would have missed.

This was a great way to see quite a bit of the town on a one hour open boat tour. Fun to go under the low bridges (duck!) and see the city from a different perspective. Don't miss it!

Reasonably priced and nice to have someone else driving as we mainly were doing a walking tour. I think 2 or 3 companies to choose from and all are reasonably priced. All leave frequently from their locations. Highly recommend

Try it, especially if you have Copenhagen card, it is included in the card. You have to go to Gammel Strand station to start your tour on boat. It is a nice kick off of your sightseeing adventure in Copenhagen, gives a great overview. The tour is guided live, so you can ask questions if you want. It takes 1,5... More

We decided to do the tour to get an overview of the cities main land marks. We found this informative and very interesting, especially learning about he cities' history. It also gave us an idea of where we wanted to visit. We bought Copenhagen cards, so we were able to do this trip free. We had ear phones for information.... More

We really enjoyed this and it gave us a good understanding of the city. Had to queue and wait for the boat but it was worth it. Be sure to try.

The tour takes about an hour and shows a different view of the city, we really enjoyed the trip which was informative and entertaining, the guide spoke in Danish, English and Spanish and answered questions. It was a good way to see different aspects of the city.

Great way to see parts of the city that would be tricky and time consuming to get to on foot, bike or taxi. Guide was very informative. What a great city.

Touristy (gotta love it), with a Guide onboard. Canal trip we took was less than hour actually, but did stop at the mermaid statue, & the guide did point out a few attractions as we cruised past. Also a few stops/opportunities to disembark. Glass covered boat so even in bad weather it is a relaxing way to see the city.
