This monument is in front of St Alban Church (close to Little Mermaid statue). It is quite big indeed and it is quite stunning detail. If you are on the way to Mermaid statue then for sure you will pass by this fountain.

I think this fountain is beautiful. I saw it two years ago when I was here, and again today. Both times the crowds were enormous and it was impossible to get a good picture. The monument of a women with her four sons (oxen) is based upon Norse myth. I think the monument is majestic.

Whilst the fountain wasn't on when we visited in April 2015, I cannot imagine the fountain becoming spectacular because of the water. It is very large and the statue at the top is certainly interesting, but the whole fountain is just not that interesting. Likely better with water flowing though

This fountain looked impressive. There was no water in it at all when we visited, which was a shame. We would have liked to see it with the water.

A very imposing fountain, not only because of its size but also because of its design. When I saw it the water was not flowing, I would guess it is even more impressive when it's turned on. In the same general area as The Little Mermaid it is worth a visit while around the more famous monument.

If you are in the area its worth a lookie -see . Its a huge sprawling fountain that fills a spot in the park. It has its place here and a bit of local history goes along with the fountain of course , mainly that it was built by the Carlsbergs , the famous brewers of denmark.

Very large, Gefion Fountain is a dominate structure, although it is 'only' a fountain. Adjacent to St. Alban Church, Gefion Fountain is the largest fountain in Copenhagen. Next to Langelinies, the fountain is beautiful in the summer with the rolling fountain waters encompassing Gefjun. The legendary Norse goddess, Gefjun, is depicted as she leads her team of giant oxen to... More

Not a lot more to add, it looks like it would look spectacular, but without water its hard to get enthused.

The Gefion Fountain is situated close to the harbour waterfront of Copenhagen, just a few metres from Sankt Albans Church, reviewed separately by me. The fountain is remarkable for its sheer size. Completed in 1908, and later extensively renovated in the first four years of the 21C, it was donated to the city by the Carlsberg brewery to commemorate its... More
