I biked over to the park a couple of days ago. It was a hot, sunny day and many people were sunbathing and picnicking. The garden was well tended and quite pretty with the river flowing through it. The elephants were not out. The yellow castle was nice but cannot be visited. But after spending two weeks in and around... More

Maybe we found this on a bad garden day, but not impressed although the glimpses of the zoo made it a tiny bit more palatable, would go back nor can I recommend with the others I have seen namely amalienborg palace and Rosenborg castle both amazing

It's huge and reeeeally beautiful. Nice for a picknik or just a walk through from the Zoo (next to it) to the Metro station.

We were here on a very warm and sunny day. Many locals seemed to have hopped on their bike and were laying on the perfectly manicured lawns with books or personal audio. It was very quiet and we also noticed tehre was no rubbish lying around. Walk towards the end along the lefthand side and peek over the gate into... More

Be sure to visit the Pacifier Tree, where toddlers leave their binkies as a rite of passage, the elephants in the zoo who are accessible in the park, the bird island, and if you are in town for the summer solstice, bring a picnic for the burning of the witch on the bonfire on the lagoon. And that is besides... More

Slightly out of the way from the center of the city but worth it if you wanted a nice stroll, perhaps on your way to the Carlsberg Brewery. We stopped off to have a picnic before doing just that. The park is beautiful with various little "sections" that you can visit with different plants and atmosphere. Would be handy to... More

Great place for a picnic, a stroll, a nap, exercise, a getaway from the city. Next to the zoo. Easy to get to via Metro or bus.

Bring a blanket, picnic and some kongespil or frisby and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere where fellow travellers and danes take the day to have fun with family friends or solo.

What a tranquil and peaceful haven for Copenhagen. An early evening stroll around the park land was wonderful. There was a myriad of birds, including a pair of herons who hardly batted an eyelid when we came near. We 'found' the dummy tree, which was most unexpected but a delightful discovery. Well worth a wander

Great spot to visit on a Sunday when it seems all Frederiksberg residents come here to chill out on the grass. Lovely lakes as well, plus you can have a peep in at the elephants' area of the zoo without having to pay the entrance fee!
