This church is in downtown Copenhagen. It's understated from the outside, but beautiful from the inside. What brings this church to life is the statuary of the Christus standing above the alter, with the apostles standing parallel on each side of the church. It is not the crucified Jesus, but a strong resurrected Christ reaching out in love. It is... More

Located just off the Stroget, this is the second best church in CPH (behind the Grundtvig church). Very interesting from the outside (with the almost Greek/Roman) pillars at the front), the church is incredible inside. We visited at dusk and the church was lit entirely by candles with some quite music playing and the atmosphere was incredibly powerful. I am... More

If visiting Copenhagen, this must be one of your places to visit. It's a stunning building with something of the clean Scandinavian lines and look to it. If you appreciate religious history and art, The Church of Our Lady isn't to be missed. Don't cheat this site and rush through it in five mins. Take time to notice unique characteristics carved around the apostles. The majesty of the Christus statue is awe inspiring. We went in the early afternoon and were pleased to find it not crowded.... The architecture of this cathedral is amazing on the outside and inside. Not overly ornate but beautiful in its simplicity. Simply enjoy the beauty or silence or both. Warm and welcoming.

The best part of this Cathedral is that is clean and simple. Not a lots of details. Not a so-gothic style. Just for meditation and contemplation. Very inspiring for all.
