Despite it being a holiday long weekend we did not need to que for too long and used our Copenhagen cards which I highly recommend for the public transport alone. It had some good features though the poor bears were the stand out. The huge park beside the zoo is massive a lovely spot for a picnic.

On the last day in Denmark, we decided to go to the zoo, just walk. The very well organized zoo, the animals are distributed by type, around cleanly. We had a lot of free time, so we were in no hurry, and gazed at each animal .. Zoo in Copenhagen. Good Zoo, organization, location, atmosphere. Many different kinds of animals... More

Starting with the most annoying fact about Copenhagen Zoo, parking and queuing! Parking close to the Zoo is a drama ! You better come early to get a close parking spot or even better with public transport. Another drama for me was queuing - starting with queuing for tickets, for kids buddy and the longest queuing at purchasing food. The... More

Its not really that bad. Fair collection of animals, thou some exhibitions were empty. but it does not leave impression of best zoo in the world. Still the territory is quiet big, so you can spend there easily 3-4 hours.

Amazing experience watching the polar bears play in the water which you will never experience again! All animals look well and healthy. Lots of work going on in the zoo but they are all improvements. Not a bad zoo and easy spend at least half a day there

Diverse collection, enjoyable time spent. Many activities for little children. Close to the centre and next to a nice park. Don't miss the feeding of the penguins.

Its a great place to spend an sunny afternoon, specially with children. Its good to plan the order of the visit so you can enjoy all the presentations that goes on (such as feeding animals). There isn't a need to plan to visit for mush more than 2h, depending if you have little children.

Nicely kept Zoo & the uninterupted views of the animals was amazing. No bars or cages for most of the animals so perfect for taking photo's. The Polar Bears were swimming but you could view them underwater through a tunnel, no Brown Bears when we went as they were deep cleaning their enclosure which was a shame. A good variety... More

We visited Zoo with 2 year old kid in April. As we had rental apartment nearby and free entrance we visited here actually twice. Place was a bit crowded but still OK. Zoo was relatively large and there was plenty to see, you can have picnic with your own food which is nice idea. As there was mostly coffee and... More
