We had great view of the Stock Exchange building from our boat trip and then walked past later on. The architecture is very impressive.
During my trips to Copenhagen I have noticed this beautiful building built in 17th century famous for its Dragon Spire. One cold November evening on my third or forth visit to the city I could observe the enormous chandeliers and huge paintings on the walls through the windows. It looked so nice and palace-like that I decided to pay a... More
There are supposedly 04 dragons on the spire of this building. The stock exchange is now defunct. However, its another of wonderful sights in Copenhagen.
Go to see this place.... Best spire in the town .twisted creatures spiralling up to a point glinting in the sun.... Another must see
Wife and I were in Copenhagen over the weekend awaiting a Baltic cruise. Decided to explore the city. While walking from one sight to another we passed the Stock Exchange. The dragon/dog statues spiraling up the spire of the roof caught our eyes immediately. We didn't explore the building itself but we have never seen a building like this anywhere... More
We were taking a cruise from Copenhagen to took a city tour before boarding the ship. There is not a lot to see here but a few told us about the original stock exchange. It is not open to the public but nice to look at as you drive by.
This building has a lot of history back to the beginning of Copenhagen and still has a lot important functionality for Danish business, chamber of commerce. - If you can get inside the building you will see all the paintings illustrating old traders.
Thank goodness there are no steps on the spiral spire! Having recovered from the Church of Our Saviour we wandered over to this little gem of a building. Although we couldn't go inside it was nonetheless a rather impressive building so if you're in the area it's worth having a look.
I saw the stock exchange at dusk, which was the perfect time to see both the lights and details of the building. Definitely worth it to pass by the oldest fully-preserved building in the city.
The imposing old building housing the Stock Exchange is a notable landmark of the city. It is located adjacent to the Christianborg Palace and you will alsobe able to view the building during the famous canal boat tours.
