it is supposed to be old town with great charm. We saw some of that but there was a lot of garbage around. The place is riddles with what seemed like bums and drug addicts.

Some reviewers says its like mini Amsterdam and have to agree with that. We came here during canal cruise, and stopped for visit Christiania and then we stayed here for drink. It was jazz festival in Copenhagen so many places had live music and that was the case at the wine bar, so we listened jazz and drank some wine... More

This artificial island contains some of the main site to vosot such as Our Saviour's church, DAC, and the nice star-shpaed fortifications around it.

Following the same colour patterns as Nyhavn, this place is equally beautiful. If you add the fact that it is not as touristic as Nyhavn, then you should definitely devote an hour or so to discover this quarter. There are also some really interesting breakfast/brunch places here waiting for you to discover them.

This area is great to walk through! The buildings were beautiful, the views were nice. Bring your camera and watch for the dog poop!

I just loved all of the multi-colored houses and the shops in this area. and it's less crowded than many other parts of town. Great place to take pictures.

When I was in the boat and saw all the houses on the both side, I felt that I was in Amsterdam only the houses are more colourfull. It's less busy than Nyhavn and nice to walk around

I read about this area in Copenhagen and was very curious to visit. But actually wasn't that impressed, maybe my expectations were much higher. However, there are many nice small restaurants along the canal and you can have a nice fresh fish for your lunch overlooking small boats, this was highlight of the visit of the area for sure! Book... I think Christianshavn is the most interesting neighborhood in the Copenhagen. Sit in the Woodstock, chat with the strangers and learn their interesting life experiences...
