I visited copenhagen for a stag do, and it did not deliver as Eastern europe does.. however! we stumbled on Christianos on the last day.. and boy did it save the holiday! Drugs flowing legally... Music...crazy travellers sharing the love. GREAT! This particular place is like a village in a town... where anything goes! Dont be afraid as many forums... More

totally out of place in Copenhagen because they deal drugs here and behave like an independent state. The sign said "you're now entering the EU" as you walk out of the main gate. Totally cool and ghetto place but it is a pity we can't take photos inside.

It has a soul of its own. One of the best parts of town. Relaxed and beautiful, making you go around the canals and explore!

Once i was playing a game with some friends telling if you were a town what would you be? I said Copenhagen( but my close friend would surely be London). What can i do if i love northern europe countries! This time i visited a part of the town in a privileged way, by bycicle, with two special guides, two friends... More

Christianshavn isn't quite as delightful as Nyhavn but it's still charming and well worth strolling through. Copenhagen is such a lovely, calm and relaxed place to explore on foot, that there's every reason to include this particular district particularly if you're on your way to visit the Church of our Saviour.

Christianshavn is a charming, colorful neighbourhood with old buildings, which bears resemblance to Nyhavn. It was very enjoyable to walk around the enchanting canals, shoot some photos just before the sunset and have a cup of coffee at one of the few cafes.

The canal boat cruise will take you by the part of town called Christianshavn and reassembles a lot some of the canals in Amsterdam. Now during the day everything is very cozy and charming kinda like Nyhavn where you can just stroll around while enjoying the sights. At night, there are a few cafes where you can just go sit... Old coulorful houses. Some are built in the 70´s, some blocks are built in the 80´s and many of the houses are older. It´s a very charming mix.

After seeing this place on one of the canal boats, rented a bike and came back. Wonderful place to wander around on a bike, especially after a visit to Chrisitiania, which was very mellow and surprisingly open. You could spend most of a day just walking or biking around the canals.

This place is just a hype built up around it, nothing worthy apart from church of our saviour and probably christiania. If really keen to see, better to see from one of the canal tours as they cover some portions of christianshavn.
