I just loved all of the multi-colored houses and the shops in this area. and it's less crowded than many other parts of town. Great place to take pictures.

When I was in the boat and saw all the houses on the both side, I felt that I was in Amsterdam only the houses are more colourfull. It's less busy than Nyhavn and nice to walk around

I read about this area in Copenhagen and was very curious to visit. But actually wasn't that impressed, maybe my expectations were much higher. However, there are many nice small restaurants along the canal and you can have a nice fresh fish for your lunch overlooking small boats, this was highlight of the visit of the area for sure! Book... I think Christianshavn is the most interesting neighborhood in the Copenhagen. Sit in the Woodstock, chat with the strangers and learn their interesting life experiences...

There is so much to see and do in Copenhagen that you can feel a little rushed. Christianshavn is the perfect place to go and just waste a day. Chill out in the sun with a beer, great food and some very interesting locals.

Just had to go and see what all the fuss was about. here are decent places to eat and drink here despite rumours to the contrary. Yes it's full of tourists but I was a tourist. Enjoyed sitting in the summer sunshine having a beer even if it was a bit expensive . Still enjoyed it though !

If you've done the main sights in Copenhagen and want to venture a little further, Christianshavn has plenty to offer from the hippie vibe in Christiania, to the stunning Church of our Saviour, and even the world's best restaurant (twice) Noma. Lots of nice architecture and interesting things to see make for a pleasant afternoon stroll.

Have been on several short holidays in en rental apartment in the old U-boat hangar. The area has it all. From Christania with pusherstreet and the old hippies,to Noma; the worlds best restaurant. between all that is the harbor environment with nice old buildings and ships. If you don not live here be sure to visit

The Christianshavn quarter is beautifully quaint with flower decorated houseboats and apartments overlooking the canal. During our canal ride there were sections in the area where no commentary was allowed because of complaints by the residents, but this did not impact our enjoyment of the trip at all. It was interesting to view the elaborate spire of the Church of... More
