A great museum and lots to see and do. There were a number of school trips going on whilst we visited which meant we couldn't get full access to all of the exhibitions. It's free to get in.

This place is huge! There's lots going on so you will always find something for someone. I did find the toy section to very small which I was a bit dissapointed with, but the museum on a whole was a great trip and free!

This museum houses a beautiful collection and a good restaurant. Its collection is so comprehensive and spans so many centuries that you should arrive early and plan to spend at least 4 hours here. The displays are neatly arranged, though the organization of the rooms makes it a bit difficult to navigate on your own between the rooms without a... More

I've been here twice with friends & family. Each time the exhibitions have been fascinating & it's great that this attraction is entirely free! It's a must see!

I visited this museum with my 11 year old son. It is located close to the city centre. We enjoyed following Danish history from the start through the various galleries. There was plenty of hands on elements for children and the facilities were great in terms of a good cafe, shop, toilets and bag storage.

As the guide books say, about 2 hours for this museum. Wrong!! There is a lot to see here that we've never seen at any museum. We are museum fanatics in every city we visit, especially overseas. This museum is first rate. Give at least 3 hours or more if you like history. We spent 2 1/2 hours and saw... More

We had free entry with the Copenhagen Card. The museum was a great way to understand the Danish country and history. We only had limited time, so I concentrated on the Viking period, but my husband was interested in the later history of Denmark. I especially enjoyed the bog people exhibit, the gold finds and the general history. My husband... More

The collection of Stone, Bronze, and Iron Age finds is spectacular. Wish we had spent more time on those. The Medieval and Rennaissance exhibits were closed, unfortunately, but the prehistoric exhibits were more than enough to keep us busy. I wasn't too interested in the upper floor exhibits.
