The exhibits were arranged by by stylistic peroids. everything had Englidh informations. We learned so much about how art styles developed. My husband was very taken by the taintings of J.C.Dahl and I liked seeing the French art of the 19th and 20th century. More

Would agree the layout of the departments was a little confusing, not helped by the restrictions of being housed in an historic building. A must if you want to see Danish and Scandinavain art beautifully presented in a small, national gallery. Where else can you see the art of small countries? Free admission except for special exhibitions (the current one on Danish artist and his European contemporaries was one of our trip highlights). More
