I loved this museum. First of all, it's free! The exhibits were so well done, so informative but in an interesting way. If you are curious about how world peoples who came before us lived, you have to see this museum. Amazing collection of items.

Last time I came here I came alone and thought the museum was a fantastic place. This time I came with my family and still think the same. The childrens museum is brilliant for kids with plenty of opportunities for dressing up. There are ample free lockers to leave your stuff in (you cannot take bage around the museum) and... More

Even though the gift shop was flooded with Viking merchandise there was precious little on show in the museum

I had to pick a museum to take the kids to, and I chose the National Gallery (SMK)...I should have brought them here! As they are digging up the Metro, they are coming across lots of interesting historical finds. Often the Museum is posting descriptions on the Metro Construction hoarding all around the city, so you feel like the Museum... More

We really enjoyed this museum. Was not totally stuffed with people, which is always good. Lots of Danish history on view. Good to get a bit of a feel for the previous history of Scandinavia. Worth a trip. Kids found it good, too.

This free entry museum has everything. You can just leave your bag pack in the lockers and start a voyage that will take you to Viking times, "bogmen", Egyptian mummies, 60s and 70s and, right now, a temporary display on wall paper. Although it's quite big, it's easy to tour and everything is label in English as well as Danish.... More

This museum offers it all. Ancient animal skeletons, viking treasure and rennaisance artefacts. Learn the history of Denmark from prehistoric times all the way up to present day. Note that the museum is closed on Mondays. Food: For people traveling on a shoestring budget, the museum has a room for packed lunches. It also has a café if that is... More
