This is a site/place which you must not miss if you are in Copenhagen. It is not possivble to describe the atmousphere just experience it yourself. Of course the restaurants are pretty expensive here, but then you can just you an ice creme and enjoy the harbor. It is also from New Habor the canal site seeing boats arrive. You... more

I visited Copenhagen in Summer 2007. Initial days of my stay at Copenhagen were at Raddison SAS. Then I had to move in a Service apartment and I was provided one at Nyhaven, 21, Nyhaven to be exact, First floor just above CAP HORN restaurant. I remember it was late afternoon 25th June and I was slowly moving dragging my... more

Nyhavn is a wonderful little harbor to hang out. We had been walking around for most of the morning and stopped here for a little scenery and some beer. Beware the beers are about $10 american, but the atmosphere is worth every penny. It was a cool day out while we were out and about and it was wonderful to... more

I live in Copenhagen and all said and done, I am not "hanging out" in Nyhavn on a regular basis, however I still find it a must-swing-through sight when I have foreign friends visiting. We have standardized our Nyhhavn visit, which is rather cozy; we bought a digital audiowalk that does the rounds with the visitors and gives everyone a... more

This is a classic location to go see in Copenhagen. Extrememly picturesque with the multi-colored buildings by the canal filled with boats. I didn't try any of the restaurants, but this is an area you definately should walk through and admire. more

Nyhavn is lovely. It's the area that has the brightly colored buildings on a canal. There are old fishing boats moored there, as well. This is a great people watching area. Sit at one of the many restaurants or grab a Danish hotdog and sit on the walls along the canal. Try a hotdog the Danish way, with everything. It... more

Nyhavn has numerous restaurants lining one side of the canal. There is an obvious preference for the ones closer to the Stroget rather than further down, but the menus are pretty much of a muchness. The food here is, however, very nice. A visit gives you the chance to take a photo of the typical view of the city and... more

I had the pleasure of living in an apartment above one of the restaurants in this very lively neighborhood; it's worth a visit. It's basically a pedestrian street lined with at least 15 restaurants, all with al fresco dining/drinking. The age range varies from 20 somethings to 30, 40 year olds and up. Families are very welcome. The restaurants can... more
