We found the free phone app and followed hca's footsteps - literally - they are painted on the ground and the app uses GPS, not data, to pin point where you are. This was fine, but we started at number 4 on the route and actually going to the museum would have given us more information about the man and... More

It is always nice to visit the home of a country's most famous export. There is a certain aura about the place and it is very well maintained. Enjoy the history.

Enjoyed this self guided tour with colleagues. Admission includes the miseaum, birth home, childhood home, and museum. The museum walks you through his life, all the way from his poverty stricken childhood, through his dealings with Dickens, all the way through his death. The details provided, along with the simulated artifacts, really tell the tale. Definitely worth the time and... More

This was part of Cosmos tour in Odense, Denmark. If you are a huge fan of Hans, you would really enjoy seeing each and every letter, drawing and artifact of his life. Otherwise, it is quite boring! It was interesting how they put the time he lived in into world perspective. The movie was ok. The outdoor theater was closed... More

Very well illustrated museum featuring a number of exhibits including the alleged home of Hans Christian Andersen. The tour of the museum included a live documentary and Danes dressed in period costumes.

This place was kind of hard to find, but it's cute, in a very cute town, in a very cute bookstore. you have to go up and it's a little room, there's his books, his writing, different languages of his fairy tales. there's also a big statue. right next to it is a section where they sell used books. it's...
