Brilliant little island. Peaceful, friendly people and cute little, doll houses. No traffic lights (only two roundabouts on the entire island!) and no crime - perfect place to raise children. My English partner came here during easter 2015. He lost his wallet and I posted about it on Aeroe's Facebook community wall. Within 10 minutes several people had contacted us... More

Lovely long weekend destination from Jylland or Fyn. We enjoyed beach walking, wandering around cute harbor towns, fresh seafood, nature walks and relaxing. The kids loved the nature and the ice cream shop in Ærøskøbing.

A beautiful sedate island linked by ferry from the mainland. The main town aerokoping is a delight and could easily be in an old film set. Look out for the little things people sell from outside their houses like arty pebbles and homemade things along the main street. Outside of the towns and villages the countryside is at its most... Away from all the big city stress and traffic you have a real chance of getting away in a history book life and forget your routine.Living in Aero and in Aeroskobing is like coming in a history book . This in olden days a fisherman town is like untouched since modernity came over them. Get a local guide and hear... More

The Journey by ferry from the Mainland to the Island was great. The Fish & Chips Restaurant right on the pier serves really great Fish & Chips. Few bars on the island, a nice air stip, few guest houses, lovely people on the island. A different experience in deed.

Aero adds a different and enjoyable element to a trip to Denmark. The tiny island feels worlds apart from urban Copenhagen and HC Anderson-mania. A few hours walking around Aeroskobing, whose well-preserved old buildings seem to have no right angles and a bike ride around the beautiful island provide a relaxing perspective. Dining options are few, but enjoyable (Mumm, Rogeri... More

You really out to take the r ferry to Ærø and spend at least one night there. The landscape is beautiful, the air is clean, very quiet, a wonderful place to really get away from it all.

This summer I spent one week in Ærøskøbing and biked allover the island from there. Ærøskøbing is by far the most beautiful city on the island. Small, old-fashioned and cosy. Marstal is larger, but you feel less welcomed there. During my week I was scolded by two women in Marstal, who wanted med to go off my bike (even all... More

It's beautiful. It's about 75 minutes by ferry to the island from Svendborg and costs around 200kr round trip. You can also bring your car on the ferry. Nice view from the ferry ride. The island has nice weather and is very beautiful. They have hotel, restaurants and shops there. But also good for camping. Recommended!

Ærø is perfect for a vist for a day or two. Rent a bike or use the free buses. Ærøskøbing is like a fairytale village, but Søby and Marstal are also musts.
