I did not like it at all. The beach is wild and it is not flat. It has sudden drop near the sea. It was very warm and it does not have natural shade, so you have to rent sun beds (there were not so many and they were all occupied) or sit in the bar. It was windy and... More

The beach to go to if you want to just relax, not crowded and so peaceful. There is a boat that turns up nearly every day and the day trippers just come come lunch, but it's not a problem. The sea is crystal clear and great for snorkelling. There are two tavernas which serve really good food, and you can... More

What a ride down to this beach but oh was it worth it, boats pull into here and do an hour stop. Taverna also here so you can have a spot of lunch or a nice cool drink.

Easy to get to if you hire transport, great beach, very good taverna. Watch out for the naturists! Not on the public bus route, buds stop 18.

We discovered this beach by chance while we explored the north side of the island by car, because there are no buses going there. It is a nice sandy beach, not too many people, sunbeds and sunshades (no charge in the afternoon? Or in September?) and a beach bar. Although before you go there you should check the forecast because... More

We've just come back from this beach and we think its the best so far. It was easy to reach, by car, all flat. It was a wide sandy bay with sun beds and parasols (8 euro) when we went the water was still and calm. Whilst there was quite a few tourists, it was lovely and peaceful. Best beach... More

The beaches on the northern side of the island are more rugged and less touristy however you need a car (and often nerves of steel) to get to them. The roads often run out and become dirt tracks and often run precariously along cliff edges. That aside the northern beaches are great.

One of the best beaches on the island. A little deserted, but who wants a packed beach? Lovely sand, warm water, and a beach bar close at hand. What more could one ask for? Care - watch out for the odd nudist!!

Don't go to Megalos Aselinos beach for slick facilities. Go for wild waves when the wind's coming from the north (be really careful if you're swimming, there's an undertow you must watch out for). Stop off in Troulos on the way and buy some watermelon, bread and cheese as you might not find a taverna to cater for you. Some... More
