Huge beach for freedom lovers

Huge sandy beach, very wide. Since bus doesn't reach there, the number of tourists is limited, so ideal if you like some freedom and quiet. There are sunbeds and a tavern. When I... read more

You need transport to get here but worth the trip. Lovely place for picking up driftwood and pebbles. Nice taverna and lovely views. And the best bit is it is quiet!!

What a fabulous find...beautiful beach. The taverna served the best meal we had... delicious & fresh. Crystal clear sea.... well worth the trip on the moped...

Situated halfway up the west coast of Skiathos, Aselinos Beach really does give you the opportunity of having space to yourself. It is a massive beach, golden sand, always a lovely breeze, so regardless of how hot it is, you never sweat...There is a large tavern, large enough for the occasional large group of campers at the adjoining site. There's... More

One of the easiest beaches in the north to reach by car, it has a (real) road almost all the way. Large beach which is not at all as crowded as the beaches along the bus route. The downside is that is can get windy in the afternoon.

The food was of low quality, not tasty and the reastaurant premises weren't good. Also the toilets were dirty.

Situated at the 'back' of the island where the buses cannot go, this beach is a lovely escape. Beautiful clear water, lovely taverna with good food - what more would any beach-lover want?

The beach at Megalos Aselinos looks stunning and as no public transport it's a lot quieter than beaches on the south side. Unlike most beaches on the north of the island you can reach by normal car rather than jeep and plenty of parking. The beach is more shingle than sand and it shelves a lot more steeply than those... Need a car to get here but well worth it. The beach is quiet lots of umberellas and beds and good for families. Clear shallow waters shingle/ sandy beach. Taverna offering food and drinks with waitress service. Good for drinks but when busy a little chaotic for food. No boat trips docking for the day, locals using the beach would... More
