Walked over to Elias beach one day and Mandraki the next through the pine woods which offered some much needed shade. Preferred Elias as it seemed breezier on very hot July days. Swimming lovely at both but slightly shallower for further at Elias so actually preferred swimming at Mandraki. Golden sparkly sand at both. Less steep approach to Elias -... More

This beach has the benefit of having a wonderful sea breeze and has a really good tavern. Sometimes gets a problem with seaweed. Lovely walk through Mandraki woods to reach the beach if no other form of vehicle

This is our favourite beach on the island and the sea is usually calm with waves gently lapping onto the beautiful pale yellow sand. When we visited just over a week ago we saw it on a windy day; waves crashing onto the sand and looking very similar to the North Cornish coast in the UK. Both occasions were just... More

Not my favourite. But quiet, simple, nice water and a single taverna servering simple, but not impressive. Not very service minded or smiling. 2 sun beds costs 8 euros.

To us the best beach on the island quiet with a traditional Taverna powered by a generator and a fantastic walk from the trees through the dunes on a wooden boardwalk down to the beach. The food is very greek and we love that a perfect place to eat fried frish bread and greek salads wish I was back there... More

The beach is sandy, the Sea is crystal clear, with beds and umbrellas for €8 a day, even if you come at 2pm. Good tavern on the beach with (not so great) toilet facilities. The service in the taverna is very good, the view is so breath taking and the bar and tavern have such a nice lay out that... More

Don't let the title of this review thread confuse you. Mandraki and Elias are actually two separate beaches located very close to each other. Both very similar and tended to be a bit breezier than the nearby Koukounaries beach situated back through the pine forest and facing south as opposed to North Westerly. If you were to chose between the... More

We walked up from koukounaries which took 25mins on a dirt track but it's a pleasant walk through the fresh an cooling air of the pine trees. We have found with the beaches on the north of the island to all have a better breeze to keep you cool on the warmer days. The water is lovely an clear an... More

A wide sweeping beach with lovely soft sand and great for swimming. The approach is via a 20 minute walk from bus stop 23 I think, through a ferny forest, which is delightful and gives a bit of shade. The beach bar does hand cut chips in herbs to die for and an excellent souvlaki. Don't go to Skiathos without... More
