The only sandy beach of the island, one of the best.

Beautiful sandy beach, crystal clear water , wonderful swimming. I could say one of the best five beaches of the island.

Chrisi Milia is the only sandy beach on Alonissos (I believe). It used to be–hands down–my favorite beach but it was damaged by a storm a few years ago, lost much of its soft sand, and it has not totally recovered. However, the soft sand is out there underwater, and one can admire the beautifully-patterned, rounded stones at this beach.... More

One of the best beaches of Greece! Amazing blue waters, calm, and most of all excellent for the children. I would go there every day!!!

One of the rare sandy beaches on Alonissos. Less than 20 umbrellas so come earlier not German early though to get space. Great for families as the water is really shallow. Fab taverna with decent prices and nice service. Do not miss this beach if you are visiting this goregeous island with kids. Price in July 2015 for umbrella is... More

This is the only sandy Beach on Alonissos. Beautiful clear water which gradually gets deeper.. Perfect for families and swimming. There is little shade. 6 Euros to hire one sun umbrella and two loungers. Tavernas at each end of the beach and service to the loungers for drinks and snacks. This beach will be a favourite.

Lovely beach, not the easiest access but the stunning colours reward you. Was best in late afternoon, not too busy and the beach bar was cool.

This is a really lovely beach, particularly outside of the high season. We were there in May and there were only five other people on the beach. The sea is calm and clear, the sand is lovely and clean with stunning pebbles. It appeared that a beach bar was being built/rebuilt so this would change the vibe somewhat. Beware though,... More

The only sandy beach on the island. It's nice but really small, with many families and lots of children. It is difficult to find a subbed and umbrella, you should go really early.

Chrisi Milia beach is the only sandy beach on the island and it is beautiful!!! The water is shallow for quite a long way out so it is great for anyone who wants to just paddle in the water or who have children!! But, if you want to swim you just have to keep going until its swimming depth, which... More

If you swim in this beach you will understand why it is called Chrisi, meaning gold in Greek! It was the only beach in Alonnisos with sand that we found. It is also very shallow with crystal clear water. You can rent an umbrella and two sunbeds for 6 euros and there is also a bar/restaurant next to the beach.... More
