With some friends we were invited to visit Achaia Clauss winery. We had a wonderfull visit and learned many new things about wine and history, thanks to skilled and nice Maria. The degustation was a ome off experience. One regrets that flying prohibits the transport of wine.

Grab some food with you and make yourself enjoying the wine with the view of the Patra's city, mountains and the sea. Totally recommended for everyone. No need to book a tour as there is always someone ready to wine-guide you.

First American review! We were visiting my wife's family in Greece and my wife's cousin brought us to this winery. Our guide was awesome. Her English was great and we learned all about Greek wine making and its German history. The view was impressive. We bought a few bottles of wine at the end to take home.

A place you have to visit. Just 15 minutes form the city centre Achaia Claus Winery is one of the oldest vineyard in Greece. The unique and authentic wine maurodafni is produce only in this vineyard. Visiting Achaia Claus you will have the chance not only to taste several vines but also to enjoy the fantastic view of Patras from... More

First of all it stands in a beautiful location. It consists of numerous buildings all of them excellently maintained, keeping their original looks, so the atmosphere is impressive. It is one of the oldest wineries in Greece and it is touching to see how people worked inthe past.

It's the place where you can "taste" the city. This amazing view from this place & and the taste of the local wine can give you an opportunity that you "feel" the city. Achaia Clauss is one of the most important historical places of Patras. Mavrodaphne is a "legendary" wine, not only for its history, but also it's connected with... More

It used to be the only producer of the famous "Mavrodafni" sweet wine. Now a days, there are some other in the area producing it, but the taste doesn't compare. The winery itself is beautiful, and even if you are not interested in buying any wine, it is worth a visit. It has beautiful view over the city of Patras.... More

This is the home of 'Mavrodaphe of Patras', a sweet port-style dessert wine. Look up "Ahaia Clauss" for the history. If you have a car, it's a pleasant tour of the winery with wine-tasting thrown in where you have a view over the city of Patra.
