Had a great time here! My mom and I found this place via tripadvisor and so glad we did. We chose route 4, where we actually cook a three course lunch, and so glad we did. Esmeralda, the owner, was quick with the emails which I greatly appreciated. For about $45 each, we walked around two local markets with a... More

Scheduling a tour was extremely easy. Esmeralda was helpful and responded quickly to all my emails. We did Route 4: a tour of the market where we bought our ingredients for our cooking class. Despina was a great tour guide and teacher: explaining the history of the area; giving recommendations on where to go for dinner, bars, and breakfast; and... More

We did this food tour on the second day of our visit and I have to say this was the highlight of our trip and a great way to start our vacation. Because of this tour, we were able to learn about the history of Thessaloniki and taste the city's best local food and drinks. The tour started at Esmeralda's... More

My husband and I took tour no 1 with our two sons age 6 and 8. The girls were so friendly and their kitchen a wonderful cosy place for breakfast. They even served speciel things for the boys. The walk was nice and informative and Esmaralda was very patient with our impatient boys! A perfect way to see the city... More

We loved our tour of the city, tasting many different fun foods. It was great to learn about the history and see so much of the city, while eating! We also did the cooking class, which was awesome. However we ate too much :) They also gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants to visit and things to do in the... More

I took tour #4, the cooking class. It was a great experience! I learned to make amazing dishes that I will be able to recreate in my Canadian home anytime I miss Greece! Despina was a wonderful teacher! Highly recommend!

We enjoyed the tour with 4 friends and decided to take route 1. Esmeralda was a very nice contact and she explained everything very well. Even if some questions and interests had nothing to do with food she had always a helpful answer concerning Thessaloniki. All the food stops on this route were absolutely delicious and quite enough to be... More

The normal tourist would miss the "true flavors" of Thessaloniki if they did not partake in this tour, as one would miss the true ambience of the market places, the history and influence of the food in this area of Greece. Esmeralda has a cultured passion for Thessaloniki and the influence that history has brought to the cuisine of the... More
