Wow, we were amazed by the look of the square :) nice park, a lot of shops and coffee shops around. prices in the shops are really cheap (1 or 2 € for a piece of jewellery ).

As an inveterate walker, I'm always grateful when a city sets aside areas for pedestrians and this square, which cuts across a large swathe of the city, from the sea to the Roman Forum, allows one to stroll for several kilometers without having to deal with traffic. The oblong square is lined with neo-classical buildings, cafes and restaurants and is... More

Beautiful Square build with wonderfull architecture. A very nice place to take a stroll and have some drinks or coffee in one of the many places around. A great part of Thessaloniki nightlife is around this square with lots of coffee/bars and restaurants. Must see if you visit Thessaloniki

This is more of an oblong than a square, running up the length of several blocks from the waterfront up towards the Roman Forum. It's mostly concrete, and is mostly shopping. Lots of vendors with open air stalls, lots of food places, lots of people sitting around passing the time of day. People seem to promenade here just to be... More

It's a nice place to walked around as there are many shops & cafes around. You can sit at the bench waiting for your friend shopping. While waiting, you can do people watching, talk to your other friends, read a book or just relax as the square is located on the seafront which has wonderful sea view. We enjoyed sitting... More

Indeed this is a central meeting spot of the city. There is limited green space amoung the concrete and it is really just a huge square. The location is right on the Med, with a few palm trees but other than that it is really just a square. Yes, there are many vendors out, people watching is the best activity,... More

The Christmas decoration along with the surrounding cafe and restaurants create a very relaxing and memorable square that will always be in our mind.
