its just the heart of the city!!!!!!!!!!nice buildings surrounding the square, a lot of cafes and restaurant, meeting point of the city and one of the few open areas in the center, nice to drink a coffee with your kids infront of the see, only the free sellers distroy a little bit the image of the square

This is the heart of the city. Very beautiful square close to the seafront, with many nice cafes and restaurants on and around the square.

Relax in the sun, enjoy your coffee watching the children play, have lunch viewing the sea...There are a few excellent places for a high quality meal and Olympion theatre offers fantastic plays, especially for children.

This place has a wide open central space with the sea close by. There are lots of different restaurants, lounges, bars and cafes to choose from.

Ordinary square ... some bars, some fast food ... some hotel ... sometimes crowded with people some times less :)) ... best bars are to be found facing the sea ...

If this is the well signposted democracy square I visited, it was hilarious. Great big overgrown empty piece of land attracting beggars, illegal immigrants and drunks. I followed the signs expecting to see something nice. I never found jt
