The white tower is steeped in history. Doesn't look much from the outside but it is beautiful on the inside. So worth the visit. Climb the steps to the top (long steps and railings on the side). There are rooms in the center to visit on the way up. The views from the top are beautiful & worth making the... More

It's a 3 euro entrance fee - everything I had read mentioned it was free. It's also closed one day a week (I can't remember which one - but it wasn't Monday). I figured they would give me my audio guide at the first station since I said "English please" at the payment desk and got nothing. Of course, I'm... More

The White Tower of Thessaloniki is a museum you have to visit, when you visit Thessaloniki. It's a museum not only for the landmark but for the city as well. You will see and read the full history of the city and the White Tower in all it's aspects, the historical facts, the political history and the cultural past and... More

The beautiful view from the top is definitely the main selling point - there are about five or six levels inside, lots of information in Greek along with old photographs, diagrams and exhibits, the usual museum stuff. An English audio guide should be provided at the front desk should you need it, but the information translated is not all that... More

The exhibits are okay, not great. But I think the main reason to go is the view from the top. It is not to be missed. Just fabulous. The only English that the exhibits have is an audio recording to carry around. Not too informative.

This tower is the main sightseeing in Thessalloniki. You can easily climb it as it works from 8 till 21 and you should pay 3 euro. Inside there is a museum - very little one. The view on top is nice but nothing special. Worth seeing only once if you really got to have a time in Thessalloniki.

The Trigonian tower offers better views and is free. This is worth the 3 Euro entrance but only just. There is a decent museum inside with old pictures of Thessaloniki but all text is in Greek. The front desk was out of English audio guides even though there were less than a dozen visitors. Staff outnumber visitors and shush and... More

We love the location right off the main waterfront. Good history. It is the major landmark for the town. A perfect match for the statue of Alexander the great
