There is a lot of places around, just for relax. A lot of places for parking. And places for shopping. Usual place for kids from the city to hang out.

White tower is the landmark of Thessaloniki. It stands proud and reminds us the town's history, the old fortress and the era when greeks, muslim and hebrews were living together in a very prosperous city. In the tower there is a permanent exhibition of photos of the city from the end of 20th century and afterwards. Last but not least,... More

Really interesting exhibition. The 3 euro entry fee includes an audio guide in English which provides loads of interesting info. Take some ID if you can as they ask you to leave this as a deposit for the audio guide. Highly recommended.

This was a great overview of the city of Thessaloniki and to its history. We also visited several museums but this was a less formal overview of the city. You spiral up to the top of the tower stopping on each floor to visit exhibits. Most of the descriptions are in Greek but there is an excellent audio device included... More

For 3 Euros per person, a visit to the White Tower and its museum is a great deal. We learned a lot about the history of Thessaloniki, my father-in-law's hometown. Surprisingly, the displays within the tower are impressively high-tech. Most descriptions are in Greek, but an English audio guide is complimentary. The view from the top of the tower alone... More

It is a unique monument to visit and have a picturesque view of the city and seaside. Be ready to walk on stairs for at least 15 minutes ( of course,no elevator available)

It is an impressive landmark practically sitting on the sea wall. Lovely setting. It was not open when we visited, but it is worth a look.

İt is the best tower being located in the seaside of Aegean Sea. First thing I would like to say is that nearly all people try to arrange their meetings in this tower thanks to its location. An historical building which formed part if the old city walls. Its use has changed over the centuries to become a museum and... More

I went for a walk with horse, it was a perfect place near sea in the afternoon. There are places opposite to sit and drink or eat something. Calmy area, and If you ever go to Thessaloniki, it is the first attraction you have to visit.
