The tower is near the sea, with a perfect walking area by the sea, and very near to lots of coffee shops, nice greek taverns and restaurants.

The White Tower, and in fact, the whole area around it, is the star of Thessaloniki. The tower, located near the sea on a pedestrian and bicycle path, is a great place to get pictures and take a relaxing walk along the waterline. Though the illegal immigrants are out in force around the area trying to sell trinkets, it is... More

Is one of the most beautiful places in thessaloniki as it's located next to the sea. Great place to have a break and drink a coffee.

The staff working at the tower were quite rude to me and a fellow university classmate. As university students it is free to enter the tower, but because only one of us had our ID card, the other had to pay the entrance fee. When we asked how much we had to pay the man ignored us until we asked... More

Besides being the best Thessaloniki view over the gulf (Mediterranean Sea) it’s got a nice display of history inside, although missing translations for other languages, gladly I went with a Greek friend who helped me out. It’s located near to the Museum of Byzantine Culture and the Archaeological Museum, all within a nice and enjoyable walking distance.

It didn't have any English speaking sections nor writing so I was relying on my partner to tell me everything which isn't the best thing... Apart from this, the view at the top was amazing.

Great 360 degree from the top. Free English audio on the history of the city along with photos. Definitely recommend a visit.

I love Greece and I do love its history. This historic monument looks so lonely on the seafront. A powerful construction. The access is free and the workers of the tower make sure only a certain amount of people get inside at a time. This helps avoid being packed with other tourists inside.
