I had a perfect experience with White tower ( a guide gave us this name, I didn't know that it is called Lefkos Pirgos ). The tower has a low, uprising passage and on each level there is a room covered with monitors and photos that provide information about history of this place. Unfortunately, I saw only Greek version. When... More

The perfection of Thessaloniki is the area around the White tower and the pierwalk. You have to go up the tower to have a wonderful view of the thesaloniki and of cource to learn about the history of the building.

The White Tower of Thessaloniki is definitely the trademark of Thessaloniki. Whether you visit the city for 1 or 10 days you should save some time to visit it, preferably as your first stop. Visit the museum inside it to get an overview of the city of Thessaloniki regarding it's cultural heritage, historical timeline , its people & food. It... More

This is a nice tower which you're able to enter. It's very cozy and you feel like you've been traveling in a time machine when you walk up the stairs in this beauty.

The tower museum is a very interesting place to visit. It is chock full of historical facts but the information panels are only in Greek. However, there are lots of pictures and videos so it is still worthwhile to go. The admission is very reasonable at 3Euros per adult. A word of caution, there are no elevators and visitors must... You can't visit Thessaoliniki and not see the White Tower!! A great place to walk around and the views from the top are superb. Obviously being up the top, it can get windy so if you are female you may wish to choose your clothing carefully for your visit, as wearing a short skirt might cause you problems😃

Tower is cheap to access, it is well preserved and has a lot off information about the tower and city on each off its floor, we were given head sets though one stopped working half way through, the view from top the towe is excellent, worth a visit.
