It's located in upperside of the city. You can take a stroll at the backyard and enjoy the great view of Thessaloniki.

Some of the worlds most significant frescos made by famous Byzantine painter. Feel the spiritual atmosphere or just enjoy the art of 14th century.

You may be disappointed by the Sofia, but it impossible not to be seduced by some of the smaller churches in Thessaloniki. And this one is, arguably, the best. The frescoes here, including the Dormition, the Harrowing of Hell, as well as the Nativity, are incredibly well preserved, and the space is gorgeous. I was told it is closed at... More

As you go towards the Upper Town of Thessaloniki, you slowly leave the hustle of the city and you are transferred to a quiet serene and seriously village-like area. It is a bit tricky to find this little church but when you do you 'll be especially rewarded. The temple itself in nothing spectacular but the atmosphere of the garden... More

Suggest you go here first, then to Osios David (not that far away) so you can also enjoy a walk through the Ano Poli. Set within generous grounds, enclosed... More

We were not lucky to find this nice Church open; it must be fascinating from the inside; the Church well preserved old building and green surroundings makes the place so peaceful.

Did a short trip from our hotel, got the bus, lots of shops, some touristy, but there are also some nice little shoe and clothes shops. Also lots of jewellery shops everywhere. Plenty of bars and restaruants although didn't get the chance to try them out.
