As you go towards the Upper Town of Thessaloniki, you slowly leave the hustle of the city and you are transferred to a quiet serene and seriously village-like area. It is a bit tricky to find this little church but when you do you 'll be especially rewarded. The temple itself in nothing spectacular but the atmosphere of the garden... More

Yet another little gem of a church in the Ano Poli (Old Town) of Thessaloniki. If grand cathedrals are to your taste, you may not be impressed. Very easy to find. Suggest you go here first, then to Osios David (not that far away) so you can also enjoy a walk through the Ano Poli. Set within generous grounds, enclosed... More

We were not lucky to find this nice Church open; it must be fascinating from the inside; the Church well preserved old building and green surroundings makes the place so peaceful.

Did a short trip from our hotel, got the bus, lots of shops, some touristy, but there are also some nice little shoe and clothes shops. Also lots of jewellery shops everywhere. Plenty of bars and restaruants although didn't get the chance to try them out.

Incredibly beautiful paintings - orthodox icons. The church also is very interesting concerning it's architectural style.

It was not easing finding the place and we had to roam a bit to finally reach the place. This works both in favour and against the church. While it is not easy to find, being tucked away gives the place a nice little charm. The place seemed to be quite peaceful too. You need to be early at the... More

Thanks to the reviews on this site, we made an effort to find this little treasure. We searched everywhere to find the opening hours and found nothing. Unfortunately when we arrived at 4pm, the church was closed. It lies in a fascinating quarter of the city and looks charming through the locked gate. But be sure to note that IT... More

This small, beautiful church, is worth the effort to find. It is rather tucked away, and is like a small haven of peace.
