Absolutely beautiful beach with awesome scenery well looked after as the turtles still nest here, not a lot here so take a packed lunch.

Nice beach but unfortunately a lot of Russians making noise and walking over turtle nests areas. Also the water is very clear and you can see the turtle nests on thee beach, there is a turtle rescue center nearby where you can learn everything about the turtles.

Went to view Gerakas Bay beach after visiting the turtle sanctuary, very hot, secluded bay, you can see why the turtles nest there! Didn't go onto the beach and personally think it should be off limits and protected from tourism.

Access to the beach is down some stairs or a ramp. The way down can be tricky. Don't bring your umbrella as you can only use the umbrellas they have for a price and can go quickly so get there early. The toilet facilities and such are back up the ramp or stairs so not terribly convenient but still worth... More

Shallow water and almost no waves - perfect for families with small kids. Sunbeds are quite expensive and beach closes at 8PM. Hope these money from sunbeds goes to protect turtles. Parking lot located 100 meters from the beach as well as taverns and local shops.

Gerakas is one of my favourite places in the world my wife and I have been going there on and off for the last twenty years. Unfortunately due to local greed and Government complacency and corruption the beach is being destroyed as a nest site for the Turtles . By all means enjoy the beach but please consider the turtles... More

This beach is located at the most southern point of the island, called Cape of Gerakas. The beach is part of the National Marine Park. Gerakas beach is one of the most beautiful on the island with shallow turquoise waters combined with golden sand. The villagers have led a strong local initiative to maintain the natural beauty and ecological significance... More

On the day we went - end of October there were less than 10 people on the whole of this magnificent sandy beach. We were lucky enough to see 2 baby turtles who had hatched and swam off into the sea. The weather was unusually warm for end of October - about 24 degrees so we were lucky. Gerakas was... More
