After climbing through a nice narrow street with small shops you are rewarded with a great view on Parga and you can get a drink. The castle is a bit in decay, so watch your step!

It is a nice place, not that much to see except the bats and the beautiful view. I'd recommend you to go there if you're interested in the history..and the bats.

It's a bit of a drag up steps and slopes from the harbour to the castle ruins at the top. The great thing is when you get there you can get a nice drink and sit down while admiring the views which are great. There are some interesting little shops during first half of climb in the old town to... More

Undoubtedly the best views over Parga! It's bit of a hike up steps & stone paths etc but well worth it. Don't make the mistake I did & wear flip flops. The stone paths are extremely slippery. Great trip if you like exploring or even to sit relax and admire the views.

We took a trip up to the castle. This is more castle ruins, we did not walk around the whole site, there are many loose stones and it isn't always clear which way you are supposed to go, some parts were a bit over grown. If you want to explore make sure you are wearing study shoes (if you want... More

Visited here whilst on holiday in Greece. Fantastic castle with so much potential. Walking around the site can be dangerous and there is a bit of rubbish. I'd rather the charged a couple euros entry and used it to employ staff to tidy it up. Like most sites in Greece, you can pretty much walk wherever you like. Lots of... More

Parga castle is, admittedly, a total ruin but the views over Parga on the one side and Valtos Beach the other are fabulous. It's also lovely and shady in parts so great to just sit and take in the sights. There is also a nice cafe/taverna in the castle grounds for a frappe and a sandwich or a meal if... More

As others have said its in a great location with great views of the surrounding area. Not much to see of the castle itself but there is no entry fee at all so we had no complaints. Was just happy to scramble around what ruins there were. There us a cafe at the top that had excellent views as well.

Venetian castle on top of hill overlooking Parga. It is overgrown with vegetation but you can scramble around. We got right to the top and had spect ulnar views over Parga.

Obviously it is impossible to miss this undoubtedly historic site no matter where you are in Parga. Unfortunately there are only a little more than a few stone paths telling you that there once was a castle on the spot. In addition to those slippery stone paths there are no guidance of what to see and where to go. One... More
