Worth a visit due to the amazing views

Free entry. Not much left remains of the castle but if you scale the small flight of stairs there are some great views of the islands off the west coast.

Doing a road tour of the west coast this is a must stop. Crowded car park & Cafe doing a roaring business. The view from the Castle shell is magnificent. That's right , it is only a shell of the original but from below looks the part. The steps aren't too bad even with a bung foot but would pose... More

Unfortunately I was unable to walk up being disabled , but the view was stunning. At th e bottom just off the road is a bar and shop where we ha d the loveliest fresh orange I have ever tasted. They also grow tomatoes where you can see them all laid out to dry We bought a jar in olive... More

Half an hour is enough to visit this lovely castle ... there is not too much to do there ... the view is amazing .... If you came by car ... parking not too big ... near the castle there is a small restaurant ... you can drink coffee and delicious orange juice ... Do not expect a real meal... More

The Rhodes ministry of culture seems to get grants from the EU for historic sites, from those we have visited. However , as with this beautiful place , there is not one sign or plaque giving any information at all. For history buffs therefore it is poor but the views are outstanding

Beautiful place, I took some wonderful photos there. Go and see the sunset, climb as high as you can get. You won't regret it :)

The beauty of this castle is that you can drive the car up to just below the walls and its just a short climb to the entrance, the views from inside are fantastic although it is a little precipitous so you will need to hold onto younger children. Our teenagers thought it was lovely which is high praise from them.... More

Really enjoyed finding this little gem and it's totally free to explore. Has some amazing views down to the sea and looking over Rhodes mountains. Decided after after exploring and taking photos, which didn't take long to have a drink. There a little restaurant next to the car park. Had a amazing Greek salad and the freshest juice I've ever... This little castle we stumbled upon on our route back to Kalithea having visited Embonas. The walk up was via a nice new pathway and once inside the castle the views over towards Symi and Halki are fantastic. Be careful as you look over the walls it's a long drop down. Pretty but scary if you suffer from heights. Nice... More

This castle has all the glory of a medieval castle that one would and should expect, although a ruin.. Do visit it if you are in the vicinity. On occasions the locals organise a medieval festival. GPS Coordinates 36.264114, 27.809044
