The old town was great

You can find authentic cobblestone walkways and medieval architecture or touristy souvenir shops depending on where you go. I recommend exploring it all.

A visit to Rhodes, either the island or the town would not be complete without a walk through the Medieval Old Town. The entire place is a walk back through history - from the Street of the Knights, to the Jewish Quarter, through the shops and restaurants and the multiple churches and mosques. Just delightful and fascinating. Not to be... More

It was a magical experience. We walk throw the old streets and bought beautiful souvenyrs from the local stores. There are many archielogical places to see and lots of restaurants to eat and grab a cold drink. We highly reccomended.

My fiancé and I spent half a day in the medieval city and wished we had longer. There's so much to see - the walls and the moat were especially interesting and beautiful, the castle is nice to visit, and simply walking through the cobblestone streets is very enjoyable. We didn't have time to visit the synagogue which is a... More

Wandering through the cobblestone streets, along medieval walls, one is amazed at the well preserved city within a city. One of the best sights in Greece, not only Rhodes, the old towne is a must see. Proper walking shoes are a must!

Amazing place to go - so well preserved and ancient, yet with so much life to it still. We absolutely loved wandering through the old city, and would have loved to have spent much more time in it than the half day we had to go here. Will definitely return here for a visit sometime.

Rhodes old town brings a lump to my throat every time I visit... Its absolutely beautiful and takes my breath away... The buildings are old and well preserved and you are taken back in time as you walk the cobbled streets....I never want to leave this fabulous town and have returned many times since 1992..

The old town of Rhodes and, specifically, the Knights' street, reminds the visitor of a glorious, old era. Greatly preserved, it is really worth walking, especially during night and when less crowded.
