As a first time visitor to Rhodes this year I wasn't sure what to expect..once I arrived I knew without any doubt that I would love this place. Its an absolute must see. Lots of history, lots of little shops and plenty of restaurants. However be warned eating can be expensive inside the medieval town. If you have never been... More

Always hated the soubriquet “Old Town” but I suppose it is what it is. Take the greater part of a day to walk around the area contained within the old city walls. Numerous cooling little nooks to have a drink in and surprising little architectural gems can be stumbled across on the way. Oddly, very few items related to the... More

The Medieval City of Rhode Island can be considered the most beautiful in the Mediterranean Sea. One can question whether it can be compare the one in Malta. Seeing both, I would say they are different and hold its own charms. The one in Rhode Island is smaller and once passed the shops, there are much history to be identified... More

Walking through this historic city is a delight. There are many positives to be said - the cobblestone streets, the massive walls, the impressive gates (the Marine Gate in particular), Evreon Martyron Square with its sculpture, the side alleys, etc. The feel of this medieval city can certainly be captured with a bit of imagination. The only down side is... More

Such a beautiful and charming place but so degraded with all these stores. When you walk into the old town, you expect to see and feel the history, the beauty and the cultural variety, but when the whole place is full of clothing/souvenir/candy etc. shops and so many tourists, it's hard to stand still and observe, or take your time... What can I say about the Medieval town? There is nothing else ike this in Greece! An entire town of this magnitude, so well preserved, so atmospheric, so thrilling! I have visited Rhodes 4 times, and every time I walk around the Medieval town I think that a fully-armoured knight will suddenly emerge out of the blue! An incredible place... More
