Most beautiful place to get lost in and wander around. Try to avoid the touristy places and restaurants, there are plenty of authentic places to find.

The old town of Rhodes is an absolute must. Loads of old, cobbled streets, shops and restaurants. Allow a whole day if you can but do take comfy shoes. Those cobbles can be quite hard on the feet - especially if it's hot!

A fantastic place! We stayed here for 3 nights, and enjoyed every bit of it. Good: The best thing about the place, is wandering the small streets and seeing where you end up. Great fun! Bad: You will be heckled passing the cafés and restaurants, but that goes hand in hand with tourist areas I suppose. Also there are a... More

We have visited Rhodes many times and always enjoyed the medieval castle, we try and keep off the tourist trail and wander the old and narrow streets soaking in the atmosphere. One bugbear is the constant harassment from the guys outside the restaurants, maybe they would get more custom if they let people look and choose for themselves. But this... More

We were recommended to visit this beautiful Old Town and we were glad we did. It still has old world charm and walking through the cobbled streets and around the small restaurants filled squares was enjoyable. The variety of shops was impressive and interesting. Two things disappointed us. The amount of cheap tourist rubbish on sale all overpriced. I was... More

In our opinion, Rhodes Old Town is by far the best of the Greek Island capitals that we have visited, it is a fairly large walled city with lots of little back alley streets and places of interest. As you would expect, the old town gets quite busy with tourists in the more popular area's of town, however if you... More

Wonderful place to spend hours wandering around in! We visited twice, once with a guide which was a very valuable experience to understand some of the history and independently with friends just soaking up the atmosphere whilst enjoying a leisurely drink! Plenty to see here and lots of shops and restaurants. I think every time you visit you could find... More

This is a must place to visit while on the beautiful island of Rhodes. There is a warm welcome for visitors. It is a historical site and has been well preserved. There is a wealth of shops and taverns where you can watch the world go by. We found the prices are more expensive but that is to be expected.
