Its so easy to stay in the area which is full of all the restaurants and shops but don't be afraid to walk into the old town area it may seem at first that you are walking into an unsafe area but it is very safe. If you walk from the port area and keeping inside of the wall keeping... More

There are several places in the Old City of Rhodes that people seldom find and that are worth a visit. Minos Pension, Omiro Street 5, is one of those. You don't have to be a guest of the pension to climb the stairs up to the roof top breakfast/coffee/bar place for a spectacular 360 view of the Old City. The... More

The whole medieval city is amazing, you can imagine yourself back in time. As well as visiting the main sites we did a wall walk, wandered around back street, found Hellenistic and Byzantine remains as well as that from the Knights - theres a good free map from the tourist info place with sites of remains and their ages

I visited from a cruise ship two days ago. The city walls look so impressive when you pull into port, but once you walk inside it's simply amazing to imagine how life must have been back in the day. Small piazzas with terraced restaurants, narrow cobbled laneways and something to see from every angle. Of course there are lots of... More

This "Old Town" was one of our favorite places in Rhodes. Lots to see and do here. The shop owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. Most would ask where we were from and usually a nice conversation would continue from there. The village had homes, hotels, restaurants, bakery's (Poypnapiko Bakery, open 24 hours and very good!) with wood... More

Definitely worth a look! Save some time to walk through the time, but go early before the crowds take over.

I love the old city, day or night there's always something new to find, and another alleyway to get lost in. I love the crusader history, and the Moorish influences. I love the shops selling all sorts of bric-a-brac that you didn't know you needed, the cafes and the bars - in short, there's something for everyone! The cruise ships... More
