This is a beautiful city and well worth visiting old Rhodes. €8 by taxi from Ixia . It is very hot here (July) and would recommend wearing a hat and taking water although there are lots of restaurants to sit in and no more expensive than anywhere else. The lovely cobbled streets are very clean and quaint. There are lots... More

If you have only one day, or even a few hours only in Rodos, here’swhere you should spend it. Probably the best preserved medieval castle in Europe (thanks also to the Italians restoration work in the first half of the 20th century). The Great Magister’s palace is a must visit. Beyond the palace, churches, mosques, the synagogue and above all... More

Fantastic place to explore lots to little streets with quaint little shops, in the middle if the medieval town you'll find lots of shops, restaurants and places to rest your feet while sipping on a nice cold drink, definitely a must see if you visit Rhodes Town.

Beautiful city, and well worth the visit. Nice place to go and wander around whilst taking in the surroundings. Very pretty with lots of beautiful and quirky buildings. The streets are clean and everything felt well-maintained. Lots of restaurants (each trying to pull you in to theirs!) and a huge variety of shops. Also fun to leave the main drag... More

Walk around the city walls for an interesting and alternative view of the Old Town. Only 2 euros and very pleasant although is a shame is only open 12-3 pm which is the hottest part of the day! Tickets available from Grand Master's Palace. Get there for midday and you'll have it all to yourself, just take plenty of water... More

My friend and I spent a full day here. Down every narrow alley, around every corner, and up every hill, I expected to bump into a knight of the realm. Everything was so old, from the ancient buildings, castles, fortresses and walls to the cobblestone streets. When in Rome, I thought I had gone back as far in time as... More
