Me and my boyfriend were daredevils and we went on an adventure to find the Acropolis by ourselves by walking!! Although, it was hot it was quite easy to find and you can always stop to look around and see the nice views that this city has to offer! You don't pay to enter in the Acropolis and you are... More

You can hop off the city bus tour and spend 45-60 minutes here (until next bus) and this will give you enough time to stroll the grounds. Only little parts of the temple of Apollo are still standing. The ancient theater is still in good shape. Not too much tourist here so it's perfect to get good photos.

It is part of the city tour. We visited in the afternoon( the bus we found is cheaper after 13.00). It is not spectacular but for those of you that aren't staying at the pool all day is worthing visiting it. See some pictures first

The Acropolis of Rhodes doesn't get much attention which is unfortunate as it has several attractions and without the crowds is a pleasant stop with a bit of History thrown in. In the immediate area you have the Temple of Apollo , Ancient Theatre & Stadium, Remains of Temple of Zeus & Athena plus the Nymphaea Cave Sanctuaries , also... More

On a nearby hill just outside of Rhodos town, one can find the Acropolis. It is not as well maintained as Ancient Kamiros or the Castle in Lindos but considering its proximity to Rhodos town, it is well worth the visit. The amphitheater and stadium are well preserved as is a small part of the temple. We went early before... More

We were headed back to the hotel and decided to stop at the Acropolis of Rhodes. We were so glad we did. It was magical for the kids to look around and imagine the stadium and theater in their good days. Too bad the ruins have no signs and not very clean.

On one of the highest points and just outside Rhodes town with views over the town on one side and the coast road and airport on the other, the Acropolis (also known as Monte Smith) is the remains of a temple. Below this is well preserved amphitheatre and stadium. The more energetic local person or tourist can be seen running... More

I visited on a rainy day, which I don't recommend as it gets pretty muddy and you get drenched. Anyway, the site is pretty nice, but it is small. There's the stadium when you first enter and a theater to the right. When you walk up the steps, you'll see the ruins of a temple. Great picture opportunity.

Only a short bus ride to Monte Smith from Rhodes Town and a gentle walk up to the site. At the site is a stadium, restored theatre and after climbing a large number of steps, partially hidden to the side of the theatre, the Temple on the Acropolis. Well worth a visit although there is no information at the site... More
