If you are going to Rhodes regardless of where you stay you need to make the time and effort to take in Old Town. This walled town is one of the last remaining true historical sites still in very good condition. Plan on at the very least 1/2 a day just to experience this site as there is so much... More

beautiful beaches and scenery, you should book your trips with local agencies, they are cheaper and they offer the same service like the ones offered by your travel agencies

We had arranged a private tour for the city of Rhodes and Lindos by e-mail before our Celebrity Constellation cruise, docked nat Rhodes city. First we went to the Acropolis at Lindos, quite a hike from the bottom of the incline, but on a paved path of course. Magnificent view from the Acropolis, which in itself is interesting but by... The old town of Rhodes is an amazing place to visit, its set in the citadel walls that are 2 and a half miles long. There are shops and bars and restaurants a plenty and they are in a very cultural place to look at.It tends to be more expensive to eat and drink in the old town as you would... More

When I remember Lindos, it reminds me of the line in the song which says " I sure am feeling sorry for that pony" or in this case the donkey!! Allow me to explain. Lindos is a beautiful mountain village on a hillside, with whitewashed houses perching all the way up to the amazing acropolis at the top of the... More

Had a short visit to tick this off my list of medieval monuments visited across the world. An impressive structure in a prime defensive position. They really knew what they were doing in those days. The winding streets were interesting but sadly too many tourist tat shops. Go solo and don't 'follow the tourist guide umbrellas' and discover this site... More
