As you enter the natural harbor of Symi, you will be charmed by this beautiful island. One of the most picturesque islands of the Dodecanese, Symi promises its visitors peace and tranquility. The main city of Gialos with its neo-classical houses climbing amphitheatrically up the hill, shows the grandeur of the island. Being world famous for its natural sponges has brought Symi a great wealth which is reflected in its local architecture and culture. A stop at the beautiful bay of Panormitis is a must, the 17th century’s monastery of Saint Michael welcomes its pilgrims as well as its tourists to admire the treasures dedicated to the saint for his miracles. A visit to Symi should not be missed!

Symi is one of the most beautiful islands we had visited during our Rhodos travel visit. We ate at Yanni Restaurant. fresh sea food & wonderful wine. It has a nice beach. The boat Excursion was well planned & worth trying.

This is THE island that sums up what I always looked for in Greece - quiet but with an architecturallly beautiful harbour which is lively and interesting.Yet quite small and walkable.Pebbly, quiet beaches with turquoise seas.Mountainous and wild.It is so far removed from the chaos of Rhodes as to be unrecognisable. Take one of the beach ferries out to Agios... More

We booked as a couple before we left on holiday through the tourtlee website- this was easy and quick. We were picked up at our hotel by George who was incredibly helpful and friendly, he was very knowledgeable about Symi and gave us lots of advice for the excursion. He advised to sit inside in the aircon to avoid heatstroke,... More

Few hours after I arrived to Lomeniz hotel at Rhodes I had to meet Georges Papadopoulos Troutlee sales manager at 10 Am, surprisingly he was there at 9:30 and this was impressive for me and that's because I didn't want to book online. We had a long talk, he was very helpful, friendly and trustful, we booked the Boat excursion... More

We took this excursion towards the end of our tour of Rhodes, but we had five hours on the boat and only four onshore. Symi is undoubtedly a beautiful harbour, but it consists mainly of shops selling the same stuff we could buy in Rhodes Old Town. Similarly, the monastery at Panormitis is interesting, but scarcely worth the times it... More

Visiting the monastery at Panoramitis and pulling into the harbour of Symi Town are both breathtaking. The monastery is beautiful and ladies have to cover their shoulders and are provided with a shawl. The view as you come into the harbour is lovely but when you pull into Symi Town the views are stunning with lots of pastel coloured Venetian... More

We did the full day tour with Tourtlee to Symi Island. The transfer was prompt and seamless from hotel to ship. The boat itself was the Sea Dream and was a massive big ferry - my guess probably 250-300 people. The ship itself was quite roomy inside and out but is quite out of date and the indoor salon very... We travelled with Sea Dreams to Symi and then on to the Bay of Panormitis and the 17th century monastery of Saint Michael. At 18 Euros each we felt we had an excellent value for money trip. The island of Symi is small but beautiful and a leisurely walk around the shops and a swim is what most people do... More

A lovely full-day excursion to a beautiful small island. It took 2 hours each way to get there, but it was lovely, very picturesque. We were lucky to visit on VE day, and saw their celebrations, which involved a parade with school children, a brass band and soldiers. On the return journey we stop on the other side of the... More
