Description: As you enter the natural harbor of Symi, you will be charmed by this...
As you enter the natural harbor of Symi, you will be charmed by this beautiful island. One of the most picturesque islands of the Dodecanese, Symi promises its visitors peace and tranquility. The main city of Gialos with its neo-classical houses climbing amphitheatrically up the hill, shows the grandeur of the island. Being world famous for its natural sponges has brought Symi a great wealth which is reflected in its local architecture and culture. A stop at the beautiful bay of Panormitis is a must, the 17th century’s monastery of Saint Michael welcomes its pilgrims as well as its tourists to admire the treasures dedicated to the saint for his miracles. A visit to Symi should not be missed!

best prices are along the harbour by Old Rhodes Town. you will pay extra if you book an excursion through your travel rep or hotel. the islands harbour area is beautiful with brightly coloured buildings in a crescent harbour. plenty of restaurants, cafe's nik-nak shops to while away a few hours, then off for a trip around the island to... First things first. If you are sensitive to being whole day in a crowd on a hot sun, this trip is not for you. But if you can prepare yourself for that and be open-minded – this is outstanding picturesque day out. I booked this trip on Tourtlee website a week in advance. We departed from commercial sea port by... More

We took this tour as arranged by Tourtlee. George who picked us up from the hotel was charming and very knowledgeable about the history and architecture of this beautiful, small, yet charming island. The excursion was a whole day trip so it was quite tiring for us as our hotel was located in the south of the island. For us,... More

My sister and I booked the boat excursion to Symi island via Tourtlee. We went on July 8th 2014. Below the detailed ups and downs of the trip: George (“the guy from Tourtlee”) is a real gentleman :P We don’t have a credit card, so we couldn’t book online. George offered to come to our hotel in Ialyssos to arrange... More
