boring and poor looking place, dirty beach, pebble, not very sandy; not much to do it there; some eating places around and few small shops

The beach is a lava stone on their own, or stones are kinda black color, and thus, it is a hot day, reasonable wear beach shoes because of the rocks and the sand gets very very hot, otherwise the beach itself is beautiful, the water is going well suddenly deep, so maybe kids are not exactly the most comfortable, the... the beach is disappointing (but they all are) as it's a "rocky beach", and is very narrow. The sea-walk is very nice, packed with restaurants with a view of the beach, WiFi, decent prices, and many people walking around gave it some life to it. Kamari is also just a few minutes drive from the amazing Fira and Oia.

Lovely beach but need beach shoes as partly shingle and Peebles. Lots of water activity, but also peaceful.

The best beaches are situated near the village of Kefalos,45 km away from Kos Town. Kefalos is the ancient capital of Kos. This part of the island is the most fertile and quieter than the rest of the island. The area is relatively unspoilt. The largest beach can be found in Kamari village. Kamari beach is located a couple of... More

I'm glad our first visit to Kos was mid-October - Kamari beach was nearly empty! It was peace and quiet and you could really relax! The weather was great, it was sunny and hot but there was nice cooling breeze from the sea. The water was crystal clear and warm - great for swimming. There was a good choice of... More

Long stretches of beaches with pebble and sandy beaches some restaurants give you free sun lounges and an umbrella if you eat at their establishments but near the harbour there are 2 sun lounges and a umbrella for only 5 euros

If you make the effort to go to the sandy area near the harbour it is more than worth it. The beach is sandy and gently slopes out, most other areas are shingle and pebble until you get out a foot or so. The sea at either is beautifully clear and not too cold at this time of year and... More
