We travelled here a few years ago and found this beach while driving around, one of the best beaches we found on our trip. We weren't brave enough to swim out to the island but wish we had.

This was our local beach beds and shades mainly belong to the restaurants along the sea front not a wide beach but sandy. lots of good places to eat or get a drink and a couple of super markets if you want to 'self cater'

I stayed locally, the sea is really cold and it is recommended that you take water shoes for the stones, getting in and out of the sea. There are plenty of sunbeds all across the whole of the beach and plenty of tavernas for your lunch.

Beautiful beach..I swam the length and although we visited in September, there were enough people around for it to be lively but not too packed nor noisy. The water is clean and clear...very very salty though so be sure to bring lots of hair conditioner! We ate daily at Bravo - the best beach cafe by far and the sun... More

Beach could do with sorting out, very sore on bare feet. Had to buy beach shoes to get in and out of water.

I recommend Kamari Beach as one of the best place on Kos Island especially before or after season when is not so many people. You can swim for Agios Stefanos Island from there. There are many nice taverns next to the beach. You can also visit Kefalos centre up on the hill. There are ruins of old castle ( next... More

Lovely clear water, lots of fish for you to take a peek at whilst snorkelling. Just one issue which nobody else seems to have noted, and that is it can be quite tricky to get in and out of the sea due to pebbles sliding away under your feet, one elderly gent staying at the same place as us actually... A lovely beach with sand! rather quiet but plenty of sun beds, 2 beds and an umbrella 5 euros per day. Lovely taverna serving good food and drinks.
