What a wonderful walk. Depends what frame of mind you are in, whether it's the destination or the journey. Ours was the latter. The scenery is stunning and you will simply miss out on some breathtaking views you wouldn't otherwise see. Don't think you have to be an avid Billy goat or seasoned walker either, just take your time and... More

Hiked from the edge of Fira to Imerovigli (where we took the path from Annio Flats) and onto Oia. For someone who doesn't hike much, or at all, this was very manageable and unforgettable. The sense of accomplishment that engulfs you as you walk towards Oia was pretty indescribable. We took around 2.5 hours and this included a break at... More

We're in our 50's and although we enjoy walking this was considerably longer - and steeper - than our usual. But it was well worth the 3 hours that it took to walk the 10km or so walk between Fira and Oia. We started at 8am and I wish we had headed off a bit earlier as by 11 when... More

A nice hiking trail, the views are really beautiful. If you don't hike often it could be quite tiring though, bring enough water on hot summer days.

Santorini, a place famous for the blue and white cave-like buildings, is really worthy visiting. Amongst all the towns in Santorini, Oia is one of the best you must see. Countless blue and white buildings locate near the steep mountain side, where you can admire the Aegean sea reflected with the sunlight. Another well-known spot is the windmill. Though here... More

No wonder it's the sender best place to visit in Santorini, we spent a good afternoon walking the streets of Oia and just amazed by the beauty of the place. We later took the time to get to the beach at Oia which is amazing location with nice restaurants and bars. A good place for Sunsets

Our hotel (Rocca Belle) was right on the trail, a bit north of Fira. We started at 4pm and got in to Oia around 5:30 pm, and each step along the way was worth it. The views are amazing, I must have taken over 100 pictures from every angle, into every vista. The walk itself gave us a great perspective... More

Even if you just have a few days in Santorini, this walk is highly recommended. There are spectacular views of the caldera and some of the hotels built into the cliffs along the way. There are also a few cafes to stop at for a drink or snack, so that adds to the time but makes it all the more... More

In retrospect it we should have done a smaller trail as we only had 3 days and it took up a good chunk of the day. I think those who have limited time would be best to walk from Fira as far as the rock outcrop at the next village. Probably just over a kilometre. Then take the bus to... More

We decided to do this walk after the lady at reception recommended it. Our room was located right beside trail so we set off at 7.45 on a Sunday morning to avoid the heat . The trail is tough enough and you definitely need to wear runners, we left from Imerovigli which made it a little shorter, it took us... More
